  1. Wouldn't imagine that McInally will be bothered one way or the other TBH!
  2. IMO Robson was one of our best players last season. I agree that he would make a better WB than FB but I would certainly have him at LB now with Brough at CH rather than Dallison.
  3. As I said earlier, yes, I agree he was half decent on Saturday but that is a worry because he's not likely to be able to maintain that based on what's gone before. The frustrating thing for me is that we have a good left back sitting on the bench in Robson and, if he was played, that would let Brough in at CH who I think has looked fairly competent defensively.
  4. Can you post the story please, I canny find it.
  5. I've only seen Russell once and thought he did quite well. Robson would be one of the first names on the team sheet for me.
  6. Wonder how many of them will start on Saturday?
  7. Aye, he's certainly cracking them in. Already scored 2 of the 18 goals EC have scored in the league!
  8. Fair point. I should have replaced the word 'would' with 'might' and taken out 'and winning the ball' completely.
  9. Mark Kerr was an excellent player at his best and, having seen him make his debut for Falkirk (first time), I really thought that he would go on to play for Scotland. He wasn't good for us latterly, much because he was expected to be the main man in midfield whilst playing in a struggling side. I think he's probably enjoying an Indian Summer at Ayr as he's fitting into a midfield that's working well together and has guys around him that can do the running for him. Sometimes players just click in certain teams and situations. I'm sure Paul Paton would look good in a team full of ballers where his only role is to run around making tackles and winning the ball. As someone who can put his foot on the ball then pick out a defence splitting pass though he's rotten.
  10. Was speaking to a community coach yesterday who says that Buaben was very poor at Hearts latterly. That presumably would have been an opinion based on what Hearts coaches had told him as he wouldn't have watched him on a regular basis. There's no doubt that Buaben was a very good player at his peak and would be a stand out at this level if he could reproduce that form. Time will tell.
  11. Na, we're just going to stick with the three for now thanks.
  12. I'm beginning to think that you're winding us all up with this.
  13. You're editing your post simply to further prove that your original claim was indeed shite. Well done.
  14. And now you are seeing what Edibairn does.... I already knew.
  15. So, asking what Dallison had done wrong and stating that a case couldn't be made for dropping them (at that time) equates to him claiming that they're 'ballers'? Don't know why you're quoting the Petra stuff either but it's surely undeniable that he does have an amazing spring is it not?
  16. Well, I'm going to give him every chance to prove you wrong and I await his reply with bated breath!
  17. Correct, but it works the other way too. Like most keepers he's well capable of making great saves but he doesn't command his box at all. The number of crosses that we've seen flashing through the six yard box with Fasan rooted to his line has been frightening. He's also prone to punching the ball (or trying to) rather than catching it, even when a reasonably easy catch is on.
  18. Careful. Keithgy did exactly that in the summer and had to remove his post because some poor humourless spul complained about it. I was only kidding. Naw, I wasn't really. I have nothing at all against individual players but we are in dire straights here so I'd be willing to contribute to funds that would give the manager more leeway in making decisions for the good of the club.
