  1. I would agree as far as the league is concerned but I think it's horses for courses at Greyskull.
  2. Aye, I'd play Longridge up with Nelson initially with an extra body (probably McKee) in midfield.
  3. I personally prefer Nelson as a player and think that he's actually the more direct of the two. I feel that he would have given the Brechin defence a harder time yesterday. It's all about goals however and it's Jakubiak that's getting them so I could have no complaints if he was picked when down to a straight choice. Ideally I would like both to stay though with either a completely rejuvenated Loy or a first pick more experienced guy in the mix too.
  4. I would keep Hazard, McGhee, Robson, Tumilty, Tawio, Sibbs, Longridge, Nelson & Jakubiak and still think that McKee could maybe offer something. I've a feeling that Hartley may keep Muirhead due to his versatility and of course may struggle to move those with longer contracts on. I reluctantly want Morton to beat Dumbarton as I think we're going to have a fair few defeats yet and would prefer to be as far away from the bottom as possible.
  5. Aye, I think it's coming back to me. Did Campbell not try to dribble his way past a forward when he should just have lumped it forward?
  6. Aye, did Mark Campbell and Darren Hill not feck up a pass back after 30 seconds or so to concede the first?
  7. Don't need to apologise, just do what Trumpy tells you!
  8. I think he needs to play him whether Nelson's available or not to give him a chance to boost his confidence further. No idea if Nelson was ill or injured but I'd assume so and that it happened shortly before KO given that there were only 6 subs. Unless of course he's had some sort of barney with PH? Fuckin hope not!
  9. He's surely got to play him on Saturday to give him a chance to build things further?
  10. I'm thinking that Nelson maybe got injured/ill after the team sheets were in and Hartley didn't have time to add anyone else?
  11. or if we do this let the South stand fans move round the east side at half time to gain our advantage when sides increasingly make us shoot South first half now. queens Morton and livvi doing this now as their fans are few and in the main stand anyway. they've all sussed we don't win as many games shooting in that order. we need to give ourselves any afvantagecwe can Quite agree mate. Why don't you drop the club a wee email to ask the question?
  12. Aye, I know; I was meaning just for yesterday though when we were chasing the game. In the limited time that I've seen him I would say that Blair is more of a defensive midfielder and I'm assuming that he may have thought that McKee would have offered more in an attacking sense in the short time that he was on?
  13. I think McKee is more of a goal threat. Yea, I know...
  14. Hazard for sure but I'd be more inclined to bring Jakubiak in for Kidd and play Longridge behind him and Nelson. Nelson wasn't great today but always puts in a shift and is a presence up front. If we're ever going to play two proper strikers together this is surely the match to do it?
  15. Well it's difficult to add anything when not on the park. Presumably you would have wanted him to sign two cloggers rather than these two as they add nothing? This would mean leaving two out from the starting 11, I'm assuming that would be Tawio & Kidd? Hartley wants us to play football rather than resort to battling teams IMO and has signed players that he thinks can do that. We weren't at it today, that much was obvious and we, unfortunately, got suckered into playing to Livi's strengths. Had we clicked however I think we have the players to have beaten them playing good football and I think that's the way Hartley sees it too. I'd be interested to know too how you know that Dunfermline and ICT have smaller budgets than us?
  16. You're very simplistic in a lot of stuff that you come out with Shadwell. You say that like he forgot to set his alarm the day that the big strong midfielders were available. I don't think it's as easy as you seem to think it is.
  17. When you get to my age it's all about searching the death notices and being a little disappointed when there's nobody there that you know!
  18. Apart from getting Burnley promoted to the EPL.
  19. I think both Nelson and Jakubiak, being very physical players, have the potential to pick up bookings quickly. As things stand I don't fancy having to depend on Loy or O'Hara as the main striker. Ideally, Loy leaving (as it doesn't look like he's going to contribute too much) and being replaced with a good experience guy to help the younger ones would have been the best outcome.
  20. This leaves us a bit short up front does it not, considering Loy's not really contributing? Couple of injuries/suspensions would see us in the shit a bit.
  21. That billyg boy's just adding 2+2 and coming up with 5. He knows f**k all!
