Does anyone happen to know how many times Morton have finished above St Mirren like, forever? I know that Saints have obviously held the upper hand over the last 30 or 40 years or whatever it's been but were you a lot closer together in medieval times?

Funnily enough I asked Big Gordon McFarlane that very question last week and Marshmallo's suggestion is exactly what his reply was. I've seen covers on different parts of the stand during games too though, usually when the away support is housed in the main stand or there's a small support in the north. He couldn't answer that one and I assumed that it was to keep the pigeon shit off.

Was just thinking that I feel it's imperative that we try to keep Tumilty or get someone of equal ability in as I don't think that we have anyone else that can play RWB using our recent formation. Hopefully we can keep him although he may well be out next week due to injury anyway.

It amazes me how some folk can say that other folk have suggested what our best team is when, in fact, that wasn't the case at all! The central midfield that I quoted was based on the possibility of Tawio being unavailable which I made clear in the post. Also, I would certainly play Blair before Welsh based on the fact that I have seen Welsh playing this season. Now, I've no idea if Blair has improved on the physical side of his game but I do know that Welsh isn't going to give us very much in terms of physicality. Blair may or he may not but there's only one way to find out. Additionally, IMO, Sibbald has dramatically improved that side of his game and I would have no qualms in asking him to match his opposite number from that point of view. We've signed two guys on loan, we need to play them to see if they come up to scratch otherwise there would be no point in signing them in the first place!

Will be interesting to see what comes of the Holgate/Firmino affair. Holgate should have been sent off as pushing the guy into and over the barrier like that could have seriously hurt him, not to mention the fans sitting in the area. It would appear that Firmino has then said something that Holgate took exception to yet neither were even booked for the incident. Whatever was said it would need to have been pretty offensive to eclipse the actual physical violence committed by Holgate.

We'd come right back up anyway, who cares. Getting relegated would be a bit embarrassing but it wouldn't cripple the club long term. If your first sentence didn't come to pass I think your second one would.

Don't think there's anything at all that the club could have done about it other than ask that no-one attending did anything stupid at the game and, let's face it, the morons involved would just have ignored that.

Harris is one of those laddies that's very good at football, it's just when an opposing team is added that the problems start cause he's fearter than Mr Feart from Feartsville! Yet there was one occasion yesterday when he slid in to block a clearance and the contact was actually audible! It's a shame really because he has the speed and guile to give defences problems but just can't seem to apply himself properly.

Did we not give them part of the old terracing roof from Brockville which had been new just a few seasons earlier? Re Nichol: if I had been him I'd probably have done the same thing. He wouldn't have expected to even get a gig with us at this stage never mind going back to his first love! Guessing obviously too but I'd imagine that he'd at least treble his wages and, given that money comes in fits & starts for somebody in his position, I suppose he's got to take it when he can get it. I think this is probably good news for us, particularly if we get a fee and, hopefully, he'll play a significant part in the continuing decline of sevco! Like others have said though I wouldn't want him anywhere near the dugout today as he'll just get booed which he doesn't deserve. I'd definitely have auld Alex in instead as he does seem to have a positive influence from the sidelines.

According to the league table published on the OS Celtic U20's have only played 3 league games all season, they'll all be as rusty as f**k!
