  1. Exactly. I think we need to give him a decent chance.
  2. I agree, but can't understand why you can't see that he does this very fast!
  3. I think Craigen's probably a better all round footballer than Aird however Aird gives us the pace on that side of the park that Craigen doesn't so, all of this shit aside, I personally would have started him v St Mirren. If the singing allegation is proven however, we should sack him.
  4. He's not missing the point though. Whilst he may have been a bit brusque in his original reply, he's pointing out that the plan wouldn't work based on the proposed idea.
  5. Sorry, wasn't trying to put you on the spot. I had no idea that you were involved with the club in any capacity.
  6. Cheers. Am I right in thinking too that Baird was given a year's extension last season do you know? I'd keep McHugh ahead of him TBH.
  7. The Shepherd signing suggests to me that Houstie's preparing for life in the Championship next season! Anyone know if McHugh's deal's up in the summer? This maybe points to him being released as we've too many strikers as it is. I'd be unhappy if that's the case as I like him as a player.
  8. I never felt more like singing about that!
  9. I think we need a new striker to partner Austin and Loy may fit the bill? O'Hara will surely get his chance next season but I think it would be too much to expect him to be a first choice week in week out. I would keep McHugh before Baird precisely because he does make a difference when coming off the bench and, as others have suggested, I would keep Miller too as a player coach. Shepherd will hopefully be surplus to requirements. (Nothing against the lad but he's not going to be a first pick and should be given the chance to do that elsewhere.) Kerr seems to be a yard slower than when he arrived and Houstie surely must see this. He's only going to be even slower next season so I'd let him go.
  10. It's not pish at all. Houston should obviously have predicted McKee's injury and stayed well away. He has been injured before you know.
  11. I think you need to be much more specific; I counted 22146!
  12. I don't think he means that we pay £400k for the stand each year? This is a net figure when compared to Hamilton as we currently pay around £70k to rent it and are making no additional income from it. As I understand it Hamilton wholly own their stadium and rent out or utilise the stands in other ways to raise additional income which, going by BPM's figures is bringing in somewhere around £330k per annum?
  13. Between Hippo and Sibbs but I'd more inclined to go for Sibbald as Hippo's been quite inconsistent. Having said that he's much more consistent in his play now than when he arrived at first and also when he was with Livingston. I'm sure that's largely down to his own efforts although I think the coaches should be given a lot of credit.
  14. I wonder if that 0-8 was our heaviest home defeat?
  15. Ok since we're on about 'nostalgic' results; anyone remember the disastrous 0-8 home defeat to Dundee in 1977? It was during George Miller's tenure, who I think was sacked before the end of the season. We ended up last and were relegated to the old Div 2! Got a wee laugh when we brought on Tommy Traynor at 6-0 down and I shouted 'awe naw, we've nae chance noo'.
  16. Aye, although I think if and when we build the new stand it should have some sort of individuality to it and attached in some way to the other two stands too. Just to try to avoid the whole place being too shoeboxy.
  17. Highly unlikely unless they start to lose goals. They're not as good a team as they were under Stubbs IMO but I think Lennon will make sure that they stay focused and don't start 'Hibsing it'.
