  1. Aye, ah ken, but Arbroath thought he was brilliant so I'd imagine they'd want him back.
  2. I wonder if Dowds is only still here until we secure someone else? Signing another big striker might suggest along those lines That did cross my mind, but then Rennie's been on about him being like a new signing.
  3. Whilst we certainly need another striker, I don't think it should be Todorov, he's too much like Dowds for me. We need a penalty box poacher type.
  4. If it's just to have lunch with his wife then he needs a good hard kick in the baws for getting our hopes up!!
  5. I think Telfer's a starter as long as we can get a midfield that will bring out the best in him. Nesbitt, McGuffie and even Morrison are players who I feel would be better coming off the bench to give us something different. I felt much the same about Louis Longridge when he was here.
  6. I'm just a wee bit concerned that some will be lacking match fitness and quite a few now haven't played together before. Might take a bit of time to gel.
  7. BTW, we're all talking like we've signed Craig, which is probably a fair way from the truth. Does anybody actually know that we're definitely in for him?
  8. I'd play Watson. There's only one way that he's going to get match fit.
  9. Am I right in thinking that he was ill when he went down to Luton? Not in a ready to drop way but just not feeling 100%, or am I just making that up?
  10. I don't have to stoop to that sort of thing to get my kicks, thank you very much. Plus, it stings like f**k!!
  11. So, do you perform at the same brilliant level every day at your work? We all have our off days.
  12. I don't think he disappears at all. His form has certainly dipped of late but he's easily been one of our best and most consistent performers this season. I also think that he's not scared to put in a tackle when required. There's no way of us knowing why he's not been at his best recently, could be any number of reasons, but to suggest that he doesn't want to be involved is indeed pish in my eyes.
  13. Hope not. I think McCann's a very exciting player when played at WB. The new laddie's only 18 so I can see him as back-up with Watson, Dixon and ATS as a back 3. I don't think that Hall or McKay will be going anywhere either as I can't imagine who would want to take 2 CBs that are surplus to requirements at a L1 club, not unless a Stirling Albion or a Stenhousemuir want them which would mean us still paying the bulk of their wages.
  14. Och Shadwell away and don't talk pish man! I know that may be a bit of a stretch but give it at try.
  15. I think that, if we play as badly as we did on Saturday, Montrose will thrash us. I'm hoping that the forecasted wind will be enough of a leveler to give us a decent chance. That and the possibility of a new midfield.
  16. I don't believe that Martin Rennie will be our manager next season. He has a six month deal and, when he joined, the BOD put out a statement saying something along the lines of 'thanking Martin for helping us at this time' or words to that affect. I really hope I'm wrong but I can see him going back to America as that's where his family is.
  17. Well, I'm pretty sure he wasn't a ball boy at Brockville for the money!
  18. No, I think he was right to take the team that day as he was the manager after all. I just wish to f**k that he would have handed over to Smith at half time!!
  19. Wiki say he's got 10 in 23, BBC say he's got 5 in 17.
  20. Is Connell out of favour at QP? He's there for the season I'm sure.
  21. I think he was one of the guys that Shadwell felt would 'guarantee 20 goals a season'. He's managed 5 so far I think.
  22. I think Telfer's form has dropped recently TBH although I'd absolutely want him to stay. I also think that Garry Miller did well enough on Saturday, first half at least. It was hard for my old eyes to see if he was responsible for any of the erratic defending that went on once he moved to CH in the 2nd half though.
  23. Keena's a natural finisher. We won't see him missing many sitters. It's true that his playing style is somewhat 'relaxed' but I think he works a lot harder than some, well, one in particular, make out. I thought Dowds was poor yesterday which was hopefully just an off day, but I'd like to give him and Kabia a shot up front next week with Keena being available from the bench.
