  1. In terms of the Barasic challenge, I think what Michael Stewart alluded to was correct. What separated the challenges was the force the players went in with. The Anthony Stewart one was clearly more on the serious foul play/endangering an opponent side of things. You could put an argument up for a Barasic red, but the Stewart one was pretty clear cut.
  2. This is what I'm clinging on to. We're outscoring and also conceding less than other teams. We can hopefully just do things in the right order in marginal games.
  3. It was the usual succession of errors for the equaliser yesterday. Im always sceptical of changing things too much if you're in control of the game. We went 1-0 up and were starting to dominate (or at least look dangerous) again, then made a few subs which gave me the fear. Possibly they were enforced, who knows. Then Van Veen, after initially decent hold up play, refused to pop the ball inside - eventually conceding throw. Lammie looks to engage, but doesnt and is passive at the header, when he should have forcibly challenged and dealt with it. Solholm ball-watching and/or doesn't notice the run in behind. Our game management is horriffic. We seem to get more open and frantic with a lead, rather than slowing down and putting our foot on the ball.
  4. Its just straw-clutchery and opportunism. You could site loads of examples for the opposite. Thatcher said all that was needed for independence was a majority of pro-Indy MPs in WM. Ross, Davidson etc all explicitly said a vote for the SNP was a vote for a 2nd referendum etc. The direction of travel is towards pro-indy. I think they're missing a trick by not granting a referendum, as IMO it would still be a marginal no vote. Similar to the Ireland situation, time is the Unionist enemy, going by demographic trends.
  5. There was also a pitch incursion for the winner.
  6. It very much is about that. Noone is being fooled by veiled arguments about the technical context. Every season, all season, all we hear about is conspiracies, 'honest mistakes', referee bias etc.
  7. We've not been privvy to all the angles. Its done by computer using pixel close ups from (min) 6 angles. Its very tiresome. Celtic, despite having every advantage going, owned by a billionaire, a PLC, 9 out of 10 titles a quadruple treble, still bringing out the opressed, downtrodden, conspiracy card. Fans absolutely lap it up as well.
  8. The ball hadn't crossed the line (and therefore wasn't in play) when it hit the Celtic player and went on to the field.
  9. This is the crux of it for me. 99/100 ref will just blow for a retake.
  10. Good to see the back of Rees-Mogg. Ben Wallace is one of the very few who seems capable on his cabinet position.
  11. Walker taking 10 mins to realise offside wasn't possible there because he was behind the ball.
  12. If Hearts were playing different opposition Nick Walsh wouldn't be stood shiteing it there.
  13. I'm not even sure what "Fend for ourselves should anything happen" means or entails anyway. If we're talking independent, out of NATO and no deterrent/nuke cache, no longer integrated with UK infrastructure etc we become a far less strategically relevant/valuable target for any air strike. A land incursion would pretty much unviable by any country, with the exception of England. If we're in NATO, but dont have a domestically based deterrent/cache, we are still protected by the NATO accords. All we need is a small defence force and probably the ability to nominally participate in any international joint-efforts.
  14. Shields ball-watching. Lost his man
  15. Reminds me of the time Kirk Broadfoot took the bait hook, line and sinker from the East Stand. Made quite the tit of himself. Best way to handle it is to accept it, or play along/have a laugh with it.
  16. I think the tackle on McKinstry was a red tbh. Not because of goalscoring opportunity, but because it was dangerous, out of control and absolutely no attempt to play the ball
