Despite being unwell and not sleeping much last night, my wee lass came hammering through from the kitchen absolutely hyper this morning as a bite of an apple means she's finally going to get her first visit from the tooth fairy!

Tiny wee things like this ruin me. In my head, this is her turning into a big girl and no my wee lass anymore!

It's one of the worst feelings when your kid is spewing. A wee bit of good news is that the tooth fairies wallet is going to get a bit lighter tomorrow.

She's a wee cracker, Miley.  I'd not worry too much about the 'growing up' thing, though.  My eldest will be 18 next month and sat on the kitchen counter for an hour yesterday as I was making lunch and blethered about her A Levels, her pals, plans for her b'day party, ideas for a gap year and thoughts on what she'll do for Yooni.  She might be 5'10 and hurtling towards her 3rd decade but she's definitely my still wee lassie.

So how long do The Terrible Twos last? No sign of abating in year three.

Please don't say 16 years.

The tantrum phase just kicked in at my house, with a vengeance. He'll be three next week and bedtime has just become a warzone. Terrible twos hadn't really started until now.

is this the same with daughters?

My wee girl is 7 and I'm not expecting this phase to end until she moves out..........when she is likely to continue in the same vein with some other lucky individual(victim)!!
