Shuggie_Murray7
Angle to try out for 2012 Olympics. Yes, really. I read rumours about this weeks ago, but just assumed they were bullshit. I guess competeing at the Olympics will get his name out there far more than working for TNA.

I always thought it was supposed to be amateurs, but you get professional footballers in it. It'll probably get mentioned on Impact tonight. edit:placemarker, 30mins left of impact to watch. TheGreenMonster
Angle to try out for 2012 Olympics. Yes, really. Supposedly has a reality TV show in the pipeline that is going to follow his progress as he tries to make the US Olympic team.

It's more bewilderment tbh, he's went, what, 16 years without competing and he decides to hop back in. Fair play to him, I don't know how competitive Olympic wrestling is and he may have a decent shot at winning again it was just surprising. Perhaps it's just a publicity stunt.
Shuggie_Murray7
As noted earlier in the week, a strange incident happened with Mark Henry after Tuesday's SmackDown tapings where he was sent out for a dark main event and waited for around 20 minutes while several theme songs hit but no opponent came out. Word going around WWE is that the whole thing was a big rib on Henry to see how long he would stay in the ring before getting mad and storming off, which he did. Henry was actually told that he would be wrestling a dark main event against Sin Cara. He and Cara actually called spots for their match earlier in the evening. Henry was sent to the ring and when he went to cut a promo to set up Cara's entrance, the mic was cut out. Henry finally stormed to the back and demanded to know what was going on. Vince McMahon's theme song was the last one played during the rib, which is fitting because the whole thing was Vince's personal joke on Henry. Vince had already left the arena but according to a source, he directed the entire thing via cell phone. A source in WWE production adds that producer Kevin Dunn was in on the whole thing also, laughing as it was going on. The impression left backstage among the other talents was that it was funny, but misplaced. The feeling was that it's one thing to pull a joke on one wrestler from another, but when WWE is doing the jokes it sends a bad message, especially when they are ribbing a veteran like Mark Henry. It was also pointed out how WWE shouldn't have pulled a joke on Henry at the fans expense who had to sit through it and were expecting a match.
#Gary
Foley is apparently finished with TNA. WWE getting him in as RAW GM would be excellent.
forehead7
Foley is apparently finished with TNA. WWE getting him in as RAW GM would be excellent. He was fired at the Network executive on Impact on Thursday. Can't see why they'd bother having him come in for about a month if he's gonna leave.
forehead7
Been a bit quiet around here over the past day, what's up? Just started watching Smackdown, Mark Henry catches Christian and throws him to the apron and Booker says "he just tossed him like a baby" Booker, how many babies do you see getting tossed about?

I just got round to watching SD just now. I'm getting extremley bored with these Corre run ins every single week now. Mix it up FFS. I'm glad Christian has now turned heel. He was just your typical WWE medicore face. He is ten times better as a heel and I fuly expect a superb Orton/Christian feud. Anyway, I'll be able to stay up for a lot more live wrestling now with lots of late nights!!!

Can't speak for others but I've essentially stopped watching current wrestling. If there's nothing else on I'll watch 10 minutes but the only show I've been going out of my way to see recently is Tough Enough. I'm sick of Cena on Raw, Orton on SD, and I've finally seen sense and stopped watching Impact. I've got a few DVDs I've still to watch and I enjoy the older stuff on Youtube, but it's got to the stage where I'd rather watch a WEC event on Extreme Sports for a second or third time than the new wrestling in an average evening. I can really see where your coming from, in fact my brother's the one who got me into wrestling and he's stopped watching it AFAIK. I don't tend to watch Smackdown that much, cause I usually watch Raw live and I usually go out on a Friday night. I think I'm sort of immune to the bullshit on TNA these days and there's some decent stuff on it. After Friday night, I think Daniel Bryan is the only face on WWE TV that I actively look out for their matches.

Deestruction
I've almost stopped watching WWE and TNA completely, but I still watch more current wrestling than I ever did. Likewise. When I was 12/13, I was watching >20 hours a week, right now, between training, watching shows I'm on, and watching Dragon Gate, PWG, ROH, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and misc indy shows, I'm watching even more than that. One thing that surprises me is how little people try to find a different product to WWE / TNA. When ROH had HDnet, the 1 hour a week they gave was usually great fun, throw in their iPPVs and large shows, you get plenty from them, and their TV returns in a couple of months. PWG churn out a great show every month, and not to mention the weeklys you get from Dragon Gate and NJPW. In 2011, almost everyone downloads torrents, and with this medium, some companies need to start putting shows out there for free to attract punters. ROH are going to give TV away for free online once they get going again, and it's a great way to go as it opens your product to so many more people. I've not got my tickets for DGUK yet, still waiting for money to clear in to my account, having already missed out on front rowers, I guess I'll have to slum it in the stands near a fucking Morton supporter. </EndLife>

meenanisaloon
Does anyone usually stream Tough Enough or potentially have a good link for streaming it? Usually watch it on a tuesday but I plan on staying up for Raw tonight and think the winner is being announced on it tonight.

I've seen it mentioned that the winner is being announced on Raw too, so best to stream TE before Raw to avoid spoilers.
