Just watched it.

Guns match was amazing. Gen Me were really good and can't wait for that feud to develop.

Knockouts match wasn't great.

X-division match was good but disappointed that they are persisting with Williams as the champ.

Rhino/Abyss and the oldies n Joe matches were both average.

I quit match was really good.

Angle/Hardy match was amazing.

I didn't even finish watching the other semi final, it was that boring.

I just don't see the point in having the second to last match longer than the main event. Also putting the Guns first when they are gonna pull out a good match is bewildering.

Where the f**k is Jay Lethal, not seen him since before Hardcore Justice, if my memory serves me right.

Was just watching Would I Lie to You? on Dave, anyone seen the episode where that studenty guy(Jack something?) reveals being a huge wrestling fan, as part of a question? They brought on an English indy wrestler who's training him, never heard of him though, nickname was Mean Machine.

And I haven't got around to watching the TNA PPV, but holy f**k at the pictures of Dreamer and the fork. :o

I could point out the hundred idiotic things about that comparison, but I think everyone but you will be able to tell what they are, so I'm going to leave it.

I wouldn't call Anderson and the Pope "jobbers".

I called them jobbers to the stars, which is all they have been in truth.

Also putting the Guns first when they are gonna pull out a good match is bewildering.

That's only really an issue if you don't have other matches on the card which can't deliver. Under the circumstances, it was probably a decent choice for an opener. Did everything an opener should.

The Great Khali

The Cena spot with the FU was superb. Darren Young better not be getting a push.

Taking Jericho's spot in the title match?

Kept dozing off during raw last night. The Miz/Danielson stuff was good.

Wonder where there going with Jericho though, we all knwo he might be leaving but i would not be surprised at all by a face turn

I think it was pretty obvious last night that he's going to be making a face turn.

Miz/Bryan is such a great feud. Just the perfect clash of personalities, and the focal points of the storyline have been realistic, and simple. Cole's heel shtick against Bryan adds to it even further. It's lead to some genuinely memorable moments, and when they fight for the title on PPV, that may top the lot.

It's a perfect example of the kind of no-nonsense booking Heyman has been preaching about in interviews as of late. TNA, take note.

Been off work this week so have watched some of my old DVD's to fill the time.

Royal Rumble 92 has to be one of my favourite events of all time. Heenan is just gold in this event. From the complete ripping of Jamison to the Rumble match itself. Just fantastic.

"It's a skirt not a kilt" when piper is attacking Flair

"It's a kilt not a skirt" when piper moves on to someone else only to reverse it again when Piper returns to Flair seconds later.

I dont think there will ever be a rumble as good as this one. On a side not Sgt Slaughters elimanation is funny but sick at the same time.

Canadian Stampede. Just an awesome event and probably my favourite ppv. Good lower card matches that mean something whilst the main event is brilliant. To think we are now without Davey, Owen and Pillman is sad.

Also worked my way through some of Randy Savage DVD for the second time. Mainly the WCW stuff with the guilty pleasure of Wrestlemania 7 match with Warrior which has to be one of the best story telling matches of all time.

Back to the present day and im currently watching NXT 3. Complete and utter rubbish and not enough Goldust

This is my favourite Rumble too! Heenan was on top form that night.

Was at the WWE house show in Aberdeen last night. Lots of empty seats; maybe tonight's will be busier? Loads of kids wearing their Cena and Mysterio garb, even though neither would be appearing.

Here was the card:

MVP vs Dolph Ziggler

Massive support for MVP which I found suprising because I think he's awful. Only McIntyre got a bigger reaction all night. MVP 'double dog dared' Ziggler to put the IC title up. After much faffing, Ziggler refused. This was a short but competent match that MVP won. Lots of comedy overselling from Ziggler.

Alberto Del Rio vs Matt Hardy

Someone in the crowd had a 'Matt Lardy' sign, to which Matt showed off his torso. After he took off his t-shirt, you can see that the man actually does have a bit of a gut, like an aging boxer. Hardy had a lot of fan support here, but Del Rio was only booed when he did heelish things. Think a lot of the fans still don't know who he was. Del Rio said he should be facing Kane for the title, then laughed about how he put Rey in the hospital and said he'd do the same to Matt. He didn't, but he did win this decent match with his spinning armbar type thing.

Jack Swagger vs Chris Masters

The announcer billed this as an 'ankle lock vs master lock' bout, i.e. a submission bout. That didn't stop the ref from counting the men out when they were on the outside! Pretty good back and forward bout that saw Masters try to get the master lock on Swagger but fail a few times. Swagger won with a play straight from the Kurt Angle play book with a roll through counter into the ankle lock for the tap out.

Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre

Before the match, Rhodes tried to rile the crowd by claiming how great America was. He then started to sing the American national anthem, only to be interrupted by Ziggler. Ziggler agreed with Rhodes about how great America was, and then he tried to sing the American anthem, only to be interrupted by Swagger. Swagger then agreed with them both about how great America was, and then all three of them sang the American national anthem very poorly. Amusingly they all needed the words written down. They were interrupted by a kilt wearing Drew McIntyre, who was the most over performer of the night. He said some nonsense about how there were three of them and just him, but he's Scottish so he's mental. 3 on 1 beatdown until the ref made Swagger and Ziggler go to the back (incidentally the three of them would make a great heel stable). Drew promised to make Rhodes wear the kilt after he beat him. Good match that Drew won with the Futureshock DDT. He then rolled the prone Rhodes up in the kilt, and when Rhodes 'came to' he was aghast to be wearing it.

INTERMISSION

Loads of crap. Ashley threw t-shirts into the crowd and we were told about all the upcoming WWE events.

Woman's match

Dreadful. It was Layla against someone, perhaps Kelly Kelly? I don't keep up with the 'Divas' because they're awful. Layla had her half of the woman's title. She lost.

CM Punk vs Christian

Some amusing prematch banter here. Christian was quite over with the crowd. A bit of a slow start here, but it picked up. Christian nearly hit the Killswitch a few times, but was always denied. Punk won with the Go To Sleep. A feud between these two could be decent as they worked well in the ring.

Kane vs Big Show (World Heavyweight Championship)

This was announced as a street fight. It wasn't really. In fact it was pretty rank. Both plodded along, and the stipulation was nonsense. Only one pinfall was attempted outside the ring, with Kane getting a 2 count on the ramp. Kane tried to introduce a kendo stick, but Show took it off him and snapped it half before throwing it out of the ring. The 'action' was slow and pretty dull, as you would expect from these two. The finish came when CM Punk handed Kane a chair, who delivered the weakest ever shot to Show's stomach, before DDT'ing him on the chair. Afterwards Show punched out Punk after the old 'doulbe cross' (he offered Punk his hand then hit the big punch).

I dont think i have seen or heard an interview where Big Show does not come across as a class act.

Having also read on other forums fans have said he is a real class act at signings where others can be short and snappy and act like they dont want to be there.

That interview is pretty good. I saw Seamus on one a while back aswell, was in a pub/restaurant so couldn't hear it.

That coupled with the fact that quite a few of the PPVs have been free says to me that they are trying to promote themselves over here, wonder why............
