It doesn;t have to, good booking could be "guy wins belt on

fluke, proves himself worthy with a series of ever incrreasingly impressive

wins".

You can't be impressive if yer fluking all of the time. Unless yer Santino at the bottom of the midcard or something. Just doesn't work at the top of the pile.

That's the point, he wouldn;t be fluking all the time, he'd grow in confidence to champion, moving from flukes to hard thought wins to main event level (in kayfabe terms) performances, he'd need the right opponent for his solidfying win - orton would be my shout.

Actually, Orton in either scenario would be my suggestion, for his heel turn "snapping" or "you deserve it" win

Daniel Bryan being the World Champion really isn't any worse than the likes of Mysterio, Hardy, and Swagger holding the title. Sure, he's not the most charismatic guy in the world but I think people are overly harsh on him in that aspect.

Mysterio and Hardy are pretty big draws.

he could go all macbeth and have the belt slowly turn him heel, as he gets more and more desperate to hold onto it

Start with fluke wins over show and henry, count outs and roll ups were he plays a classic face in distress

Then questionable wins in terms of cheating,

Before he full on blows and tries to injure folk before matches, and is hyped up as a submission specialist, by which time he;s held the belt for a period and can unveil the "best in the wolrd" type character from his RoH days

I always liked the idea of a belt "corrupting" a face during their reign, I can't think of a good example

He'll need to feud with Barrett while he's face. If Henry is legit injured then he won't be cashing his rematch any time soon.

Oh and a couple people mentioned it being ridiculous that Bryan is the Heavyweight champion, but it'd be ridiculous to do what they do with Mysterio and change it to World Champion(I think this was said at TLC or on Raw a couple of times, Punk did say heavyweight though). Can't win either way tbh, I think the notion of not being the top guy in the brand because the title is named something is stupid.

To be fair, he's about half a stone lighter thank Punk and only a stone or so lighter than HBK, so could anyone really say much about the word heavyweight being used with those guys too?

What feuds would people like to see building up to the rumble and ultimately who would you like to see win the rumble?

The end of Barett/Orton fued ideally with Barett going over

Zack Ryder defending against and defeating Dolph Ziggler . finishing the fued. allowing Ziggler to have an impressive hour run in the rumble and strong showing in E.C

Cena V Kane ideally Kane destroying Cena and the start of the Cena heel turn

Punk/Miz. The promos alone would be brilliant.

Usos/Air Boom/ Epico and Primo

Rhodes/Bookers. Can see this ending at the Rumble

Bryan/? Don't know what they will do with him.

The word heavyweight being used with Daniel Bryan doesn't annoy me. Neither would the fact that he can beat Henry and Show if he was actually 1) booked to be as good and 2) ready at this point. None of this is true at this point though. It COULD be a stepping stone for a proper main event run, and I hope they can get something out of him.

Barrett has to go over Orton IMO. If Henry is injured, they don't have a top level heel on SD and it really should be between Barrett and Ziggler. Though the Big Show is always the go-to guy in these situations.

I don't see how Kane destroying Cena would start a heel turn for Cena TBH. Though in saying that, Kane has always had large pops, even as a heel, so yeah Cena might be pissed at that.

For Rumble, I'd like to see Y2J (if the promos are him) winning it and going onto have a feud with Punk into WM. Failing that, I'd say Sheamus to win the Rumble.

I'd continue with the whole Cena has haters thing. Have Kane attack him for no reason, Cena wonders why Kane (and everyone else) hates him so much that he snaps, probably on Ryder.

The thing is, if Cena does turn and becomes a bit of a dirty heel with an edge to him, he'll more than likely receive big pops from the same guys who are booing him right now. Some folk have waited on a heel Cena for so long that when it does finally happen, he'll get as big an amount of pops as he does heat.

I hope Jericho wins the rumble if he returns. If he doesn't then Ziggler, Barrett or Kane for me. I think it has to be a "#HEEL" :green or a monster who wins it this year as I can't see them taking the strap off of Punk going into Mania or turning him (especially if Cena turns). And even though Jericho would get a huge pop if he returned and would probably be a tweener if they turned him, it would be easy to write going with the "Best in the World" thing.

Also Kane deserves a Rumble win after 2001 where he really should have won :P

I can't see Kane winning it. Jericho is a decent shout though, and a match with Punk as a result as the end result. If I had to pick anyone at this stage, even if he doesn't return on January 2nd, I'd pick Chris Jericho.

Kane should win it, he's been the most dominant superstar in the Rumble since it

started but I doubt he will.

Oh aye, absolutely, and a match between him and CM Punk would certainly be interesting if nothing else thanks to the fued.
