EdinburghLivi
Apparently Fitzwater is a centre-half. I imagine some of the other defenders might go out on loan or permanently. Edited July 8, 2020 by EdinburghLivi

GK: Ross Stewart; Gary Maley; Brian Schwake RB: Nicky Devlin; Steve Lawson; Hakeem Odoffin CB: Jon Guthrie; Efe Ambrose; Jack Fitzwater; Alan Lithgow; Cece Pepe LB: Aaron Taylor-Sinclair; Jack McMillan CM: Marvin Bartley; Keaghan Jacobs; Craig Sibbald; Robbie Crawford; Carlo Pignatiello RW: Alan Forrest; Dolly Menga CAM: Scott Pittman; Scott Robinson LW: Aymen Souda; Scott Tiffoney; Rafaelle De Vita ST: Lyndon Dykes; Matej Poplatnik; Jack Hamilton Not bad depth especially when you consider how many of those can play in a few different positions. From that I'd expect Schwake, Pepe, Pignatiello, and De Vita to leave either on loan or permanently, and possibly Stewart (depending on who we sign) and Hamilton too. Think we'll keep Lithgow unless he pushes for a move or we bring someone else in (Brown?) - 4 natural CBs gives us cover for injuries/suspensions and means we can move to 3 at the back and still have one on the bench.

Notice Fitzwater played with Nicky and BBJ at Walsall...wonder if they're looking to use that understanding at the back although according to some sources Fitzwater is a leftback.

Transfermarkt has him down as a CB that can play RB occasionally
NathanQP
What’s the situ with Salim? Are you still in for him?
ATLIS
Just now, NathanQP said: What’s the situ with Salim? Are you still in for him? I'm assuming he's still on trial with us but we've just signed a striker so not sure what will happen. I'd like to see us sign him if he's cheap enough for us tbh, but that would give us 4 strikers unless he can play out on the wing? Poplatnik in his first interview on LFC TV there saying "I'm a striker, I'm here to score goals", not a bad way to talk yourself up at least. Here's hoping he does that.
LIVIFOREVER
If Dykes is still here when we ko then it'll be an exciting season ahead striker wise, we didn't have any other options up front last season, it was just Dykes and midfielders playing off him. It was the one area we were pretty thin on the ground. Looking forward to seeing what Poplatnik can do. Hopefully Fitzwater is as good as Guthrie and Devlin.

AJF
What’s Livi fans opinion on McCrorie? As a Rangers fan I’m glad he is getting out for more top level experience, and he seemed to be getting positive reviews there last season.
LIVIFOREVER
Wasn't as good as Sarkic, who we had on loan from Villa up to January, Kelly wasn't up to much either in his first spell though, and improved greatly the 2nd time he played for us. Needs to work on his kicking, but again comparing him to Sarkic, who's kicking was excellent.
Durnford
Tend to agree although comparing him against Sarkic is probably a little unfair. Sarkic didn't have the best of games in the betfred but then really seemed to settle and was an excellent keeper by the time he left us. McCrorie was fairly average in his few games with us but could probably have settled as well. Certainly the Doonhamer fans seemed to rate him highly albeit at a lower level. Can't recall him making any obvious gaffs tbh. Not having him for the games against the rangers will be a pain though; particularly if Stewart goes out on loan again.

At the very least, they were poor.Having said that, he has performed well in other games. Notably, against St Johnstone and Hibs. I'm happy that he'll be back for this season. I think there is a lot more to him than we've seen so far. Shaping up to be a very decent squad for the coming season.
LIVIFOREVER
Rohan Ferguson on trial at Livi, that'll give McCrorie competition for his place, he'll get his chance to impress when we play Sevco.

There was a couple of misplays but that's normal for a keeper. I'm interested to see how good he will be this season with regular games and properly knowing the defence. Personally, I'm delighted with the signing and hope he has an outstanding season.
