Quick Question Thread

Recommended Posts

Well tbh the people in my class at uni aren't actually people I socialise with a hell of a lot. Nearly all of my friends through here are people who I know through halls, or other Edinburgh folk who've moved through, or folk I know through other means than my uni classes. Thanks for your concern though babes.

Good, because someone who misses such obvious points probably wouldn't be up to it. I reccomend being a security guard at Tesco's, you'd certainly have a passion for the job and that's half the battle.

Sorry, I forgot it was only you that's allowed to make massive, sweeping generalisations and assumptions about other posters, do forgive me.

P.S, that bank situation has been completely sorted now, "yelt" indeed. :D

Thank goodness, I can relax now in the knowledge that the latest drama in your disaster-ridden life has been sorted out.

Any ways to do chin ups in the house without a pull bar?

Avoid the soaps mate. Stick in there things will get better, there is more to life than tacky pubs.

Yeah, because me concluding you're a scummy b*****d for committing theft (to which you admitted and were unrepentant) is *such* a sweeping generalisation compared with, you know, reaching conclusions about my speech patterns without having heard me talk or reaching conclusions about my social activities in the vicinity of the University of Glasgow when you've neither met me, nor have I divulged much if any information about my day-to-day activities in said part of Gilmorehill.

Now I believe that is a telt.

Who cares which is the bigger generalisation? If you don't like people making assumptions about you, then don't do the same to others. FWIW I don't really give a shit what kind of character you paint me out to be, I'd just advise you not to get so pissy when people do it back.

If you think that is "a telt" then you probably need to have some more conversations with people face to face rather than through your keyboard.

I'm surprised you aren't raging that he'd generalise someone he doesn't know as having a "disaster-ridden life", and insinuate they're a drama queen when he hasn't met them. He's no met me but, GRRRRR!!!!

Anyway Ad Lib you know what, these pointless tit for tat discussions are tiresome as f**k for me, never mind people reading through these threads. You win, I'm a scummy little thieving c**t with no morals. Gonnae just drop it now?

Except it's not a "generalisation" to conclude that someone who is a thief and is unrepentant is scum. That's simply a deduction. It IS a sweeping generalisation to reach conclusions about how I speak without any empirical evidence of vocal tones or real-world conduct. In short, you're a c**t.

You know, I think Swampy's on to something with this P&B Hero malarkey.

Has "P&B Hero" replaced "straw man" as the buzzword of the moment?

It's where mediocre posters attempt to become martyrs in the cyber battle against the box-office clique. The only thing is they just end up faceplanting off the virtual cliffs of Dover to their credibility death.
