chico
I've also notice a few people using the insult 'vacuous'. Monster used it once and it has taken off from there. Did they Hoover it up?
Ad Lib
It was 'non sequitur' before 'straw man'. I've also notice a few people using the insult 'vacuous'. Monster used it once and it has taken off from there. I'd have thought "vacuous" were a pretty routine criticism of an awful lot of posters' contributions on here...

I'd never even heard of it as an isult before monster posted it (the post was made several years ago right enough). He wa retelling the story (I was there when it happened) of how he ripped into some bimbo with a green jacket on Sauchiehall Street and almost reduced her to tears.
Lisa Cuddy
Vacuous is a fairly common word as far as I'm aware. It's something I've used on various occasions, although not necessarily on here. For all people slate Swampy at times for being a troll or whatever, he seems to be the master of the catchphrase. You can pretty much guarantee that Ad Lib or vikingTon - but usually both - will adopt it almost immediately.

paul-r-cfc
Anuone know if I need to have the 'Early touches' certificate if I want to do the Coaching Youths level 1 certificate with the sfa? It's just that I'd rather start within the 12-18 framework as that's the age range I'll be working with

NotThePars
Could someone recommend a good place to drink near the Oran Mor in Glasgow, I'm going to see The Horrors tomorrow and would fancy going somewhere to have a couple of relatively cheap drinks beforehand.

Out of luck mate, there are no pubs on Byers or Great Western Road. Cider in the train station for you.

endieinreekie
Who cares which is the bigger generalisation? If you don't like people making assumptions about you, then don't do the same to others. FWIW I don't really give a shit what kind of character you paint me out to be, I'd just advise you not to get so pissy when people do it back. If you think that is "a telt" then you probably need to have some more conversations with people face to face rather than through your keyboard. I'm surprised you aren't raging that he'd generalise someone he doesn't know as having a "disaster-ridden life", and insinuate they're a drama queen when he hasn't met them. He's no met me but, GRRRRR!!!! Anyway Ad Lib you know what, these pointless tit for tat discussions are tiresome as f**k for me, never mind people reading through these threads. You win, I'm a scummy little thieving c**t with no morals. Gonnae just drop it now? I wasn't generalising, just going on the basis of your posts. You may well not be a 'drama queen' in real life, but it's certainly how you come across on here.
Guest
I wasn't generalising, just going on the basis of your posts. You may well not be a 'drama queen' in real life, but it's certainly how you come across on here. I wouldn't say so. As I've admitted before a lot of my posts over a one week period a couple of months back were cringeworthy as f**k, I took the stick I deserved and stopped. Recently I've asked on this thread about living abroad (which was a good idea in the end as I got some great advice from the likes of Adam and Supras, cheers again guys), and I asked about bank charges which is a standard type of question on a thread like this. Hardly "drama queen" stuff imo. That said I'd be more concerned if people in real life thought I was like that rather than people I'll never meet from the internet, so think what you want.
