Homer Thompson Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 I've been toying with the idea of getting my daughter a wee fish tank as a couple of her pals have them and she seems to love them. I don't want to just get a plastic bowl and fling in a couple of goldfish as that seems a bit cruel. Does anyone on here keep fish, either cold water or tropical? I'm looking for advice on what are the do's and don'ts. As G_Man said, tropical fish are pretty easy to look after. Guppies are also a good choice, as theres a good chance you'll get babies 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shuggie_Murray7 Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Did there used to be a thread on P&B where it was just everyone reliving the greatest hits of people making an arse of themselves or did I dream that? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AberdeenBud Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) Did there used to be a thread on P&B where it was just everyone reliving the greatest hits of people making an arse of themselves or did I dream that? Nah, there definitely is Bud. Can't remember what is was called, something like "best/worst thing you've ever seen on P&B". Probably Paulo's betting "system" or Doyle's post about how his gf looked like Katy Perry were my faves. Karpaty Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 I think it was around the time of the "10th anniversary". I ended up on that thread as well. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

gavin_3110 Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Heading to Manchester with two of my mates for a gig on Wednesday. Can anyone recommend any student-y clubs where the big awkward laddie going with us has best chance of his oats on a Wednesday eve? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hedgecutter Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) If you relived your life (identical surroundings and completely unaware that you were reliving it), would you make exactly the same choices all the way through it, or would your mind one day choose pasta over fish for dinner, potentially setting you off on a completely different path? pandarilla Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Another plumbing question... How much is an acceptable amount to offer a plumber to re-seal a bath (it's been a tricky b*****d, I've tried to do it once but keeps leaking)? I've got a plumber coming in to do bits with our new kitchen and figured I could get him to do the bath whilst he's here. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tinkerbelle Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Offer them £25. If it's a no then these are your new best friends. Try to clean off all the old stuff and start again. Also, go to a plumbers merchants and buy the Dow Corning silicon in the green and white tube as that is better quality stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stanley-Blade-Glass-Window-Paint-Ice-Scraper-Remover-/120432326275?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c0a537683 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Everbuild-Wonder-Hand-Wipes-Multiuse-on-hands-tools-surfaces-silicon-100-Pack-/191604556998?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c9c8584c6 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yato-professional-silicone-spreader-finishing-tool-kit-set-of-4-/170918551035?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27cb8a1dfb 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Swarley Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 No doubt the resident plumbers will be outraged by this suggestion and tell us they wouldn't even get out of bed for £25 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
itzdrk Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Had an interview today for a job at Edinburgh Park, went quite well. Might just get out of call centre life. Would have to move to Edinburgh pretty short notice if I do. Any advice anyone can offer for moving over there? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I'd recommend Leith. Be prepared though, it is expensive even if you're just renting 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
