The New Raith Rovers Thread

In absence of any signing news, has anyone else spotted  Locke's 'catchphrase' when he's being interviewed?

we had McGlynn's "Well, obviously, eh....."

Murray's "First and foremost"

And then mcKinnon's "Now, listen...

Locke seems to favour "We're working ever so hard"

Johnston was missing due to tight hamstring! Don't know about Craig Barr though

My guess for Barr is that it was a bit too early to be throwing him into consecutive games, given he'd only come back form his honeymmon prior to the Brechin game.

Chairmen said on Tuesday we had signed a guy from Barnsley as a direct replacement for Toshney. A French guy in the Marvin Andrews mold apparently. Just waiting for clearance but it's a done deal.

So, we're gonna have another defender before we sign any more forward options? That'll have fantalk in a rage....

I hope he's a better footballer than Marv, the bes tthing about Toshney was his ability to play out from the back.

Vote Eric, get rid of the baldy snake.

Stephen Thompson (Dundee United), Leeann Dempster (Hibernian) and Eric Drysdale (Raith Rovers) have been put forward for the two positions in the Ladbrokes Championship.

Is that the same board that Thomson made a big deal about resigning from?

TBF he was on the Premiership board, but due to his team being diddies he couldn't stay where he was.

Still, bin the b*****d now to dilute his influence.

Eric Drysdlae eh? Or just 'Eric' as everyone on here and fantalk seems on first name terms.  Yeah why not get him a place a place on the league board as well. Maybe then the league will be as successful as we have been since he became involved in 1998.

Seen this on Fantalk:

"Gary Locke hoping to announce a new signing in the next 24hrs to fill the void left by defender / midfielder Toshney. Will run the rule over two trialists Tarique Fose and Joel Coustrain against Arbroath. Fose went out on loan from parent club Reading to Accrington Stanley at the end of the season and was named player of the month for April. Will make a decision on them after the game on Saturday.
Scott Roberston has a problem with his groin and stomach.
Source - The Courier (Friday)."

Fose is under contract with Reading until 2017, a quick Google would show, so either the Courier is wrong on that or it'll be a loan deal.

Regardless, after reading about him for a minute or two I'm pretty certain he'll win us the league.
