bagpuss
He was decent enough when partnering Big Marv. He had speed so could cover when Big Marv was out of position and couldn't get back. They worked well together.

However, the lineup predictions are so bad - anyone that thinks Brown is replacing Byrne or Matthews in the starting XI against Morton either didn’t watch the Falkirk game and / or doesn’t really understand how football actually works!!

In fairness, we're probably the first to admit this...

Keyser Soze
Whisky tasting in the McMillan lounge was excellent last night, looking forward to the release of the 30th anniversary final blend.
CrossgatesCynic
Quite enjoyed hearing Ian Murray on last night’s A View From The Terrace. Nothing groundbreaking & could be easy enough to view it through the lens of him having an axe to grind but he’s repeated his stance of the sacking coming completely out the blue. I’m inferring from what he said that, whilst he ultimately has to accept the decision, he’s firmly of the belief that the idea that it was months in the making is bollocks. Murray makes a tongue in cheek reference to Barrowman’s interview on RaithTV & says he’s never seen him look so uncomfortable, gulping so often, as some sort of creedance to this. Also relatively interesting to hear him say he thought some of the social media stuff last season was over the top. He acknowledges it wasn’t created with him in mind & that the supporters enjoyed it - though he does suggest it created some unnecessary pressures for the players.

Sorry Pep. Please, enlighten us mere mortals from your fount of all knowledge. While neither of Byrne or Matthews deserve to be dropped, Brown is a class above at doing the dirty work and the running. Either one of them has to make way as it'll strengthen our side, or we change our shape to accommodate 3 in the midfield which means we either lose the width or the guy behind the front man.

Question was asked if the social media stuff had already come back to bite at some point, of course it has, the Dundee United away ticket situation was no doubt influenced by the video created from the previous game.

Quite possibly but even if they'd have given us 5,000 tickets we were never winning that match with the line up Murray went for.

Aye, Murray also called out United as "rattled" in the media in the lead up to the game, so it's a bit of a brass next to criticise cartoons.
buchan30
Don’t think he was criticising them, i think he was just saying that his job was to manage the team and wasn’t interested in them.

Plenty defensive and midfield cover though.
