Presentation isn't the best to say the least but it's tasty. The 'sauce' is nice and sticky. Mini Toblerone for dessert. Only the white one left as you don't like them as much as the dark ones?

I was upset due to it coming in a box and looking like it was a Warburton roll with no stability. It was excellent, every component miles better than a run of the mill quick bite place. £9.25 for a coffee and a roll is steep but it was superb. Ride coffee house. Very, very decent Just lacking a tattie scone. Egg would need to be runny though.

I normally use fresh garlic and ginger but I see you've got the easy stuff. How good is it compared to fresh?

How good is it compared to fresh? It's pretty good! It comes in a white wine vinegar though so whilst you can fry that off, if you're adding to a sauce then it might impact the flavour more than you want.

What I normally try to do with ginger is buy a large amount from the Chinese supermarket, blitz it in the food processor, then put it into ice cube trays and freeze it. It's then easy to use a cube at a time, but maybe I should give the easy stuff a try instead.

DA Baracus
Much easier this evening. Very little cooking in fact! Anyway, Bloody Mary penne tonight. Poor photo of the finished product but I can assure you all it was excellent.
Bairnardo
I didn't get a photo but tonohbt I had a sausage and bean stew with a an egg dropped in at the end. Iv never done Rancheros or that, so first time. Really enjoyed and will do again. The wife's pursuit of eliminating cards has led me into learning a bit more about pulses and the like. Enjoyable wee foray Edited December 6, 2023 by Bairnardo
