Presumably you filled your plate some more after the photo? Fennel is a vastly underrated and underused salad veg. Main was beef cheek with jus, celeriac puree and Crisps, pickled asparagus, haggis and barley crumb and pavé potatoes. I’ve got an induction hob, would much rather have a gas hob like I did in a previous house. I just find it’s easier to control the heat on a gas hob.
