Jimmy85
I phoned in sick today. It's only my fourth day off sick in five years but I still feel guilty about it even though I am genuinely not well enough to work.

11thHour
^ dick. Driving to work this morning the two cars in front of me in the right lane wasn't going quite quick enough for me so I pull into the middle lane to overtake, just as I did a few bits of plastic came flying at my car and a tire stoated across the road right in front of me. The van that was in front of me had its tire come off and was now coursing along the motorway on just the rim and was now trying to quickly manoeuvre across all the lanes to get to the hard shoulder. Bloody shat myself when the plastic hit the motor and then just seeing the tire stoating across the road, quickly followed by a big white van.
mattydfc
Today is my only day off for 11 days, so I fully intend on sitting in bed all day playing Call of Duty and Football Manager. Then watching the football tonight. What a life.

Thistle_do_nicely
I quit smoking 3 months ago today. Really glad I done it. The last fag I had was on Friday the 23rd of March, so I'm up to about 11 days without a fag now. Don't even miss it but the first 3/4 days were torture. Well done to yourself good sir, it was the 37p increase that did it for me, been meaning to give quitting a serious go for a while now and I'm glad it gave me the motivation/reason needed because I had been putting it off for ages.
the jambo-rocker
I'm worried about when I go on Holiday in June, I can see me having a relapse then. I did that the last time I was abroad as well, nearly two years ago. I'd quit about then as well and ended up going 40 a day on myself over that week. I think you've just got to accept that you will be a lot more tempted when your inhibitions are lowered on holiday. Suprisingly I managed to go back off them for another 4-5 months after it when the Christmas period set in. Always seems to be when I'm on holiday that I want to smoke
Jimmy85
I'm worried about when I go on Holiday in June, I can see me having a relapse then. That's how I started again. Had been 'clean' for 2 months but the constant booze, sun and cheap smokes tempted me. I've been a full time smoker since. That was 4 years ago. Edit: I work in a team of about 80 people and there's only two smokers. I've no idea what the national average is but that's got to be a surprisingly low amount of smokers. DeadStar
Off today for the first time in 9 days, sitting in waiting on my landlord, the Scottish Gas engineer, and the guy to fix my entryphone for my flat. Been up since 9 and none of these charlatans have appeared yet.

Barrfields_Largs
Just watched the trailer for the first movie from Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad). Looks pretty good. The Thunder Song had me in tears, looks like it could be the funniest film since The Hangover Part 1

stimpy
I quit smoking 3 months ago today. Really glad I done it. I stopped at the end of January and I could easily go to the shop in the morning and buy my rolls, papers and 20 fags. I won't ever start again but I feel like I easily could.
