Played Merrie Land from start to finish, wee interval then half a dozen songs from 1st album First time I’ve been to SWG3 and liked it, great sound

Played Merrie Land from start to finish, wee interval then half a dozen songs from 1st album First time I’ve been to SWG3 and liked it, great sound I was at that too. Great gig and sound at venue is up there with best I've heard. They all looked like they were having a great time on stage.

Last night wasn't really the kind of act I'd normally go to see BUT I couldn't help but be impressed by the sheer beauty of it.
pantene proV
Yeah I'd not got round to listening to the new album but playing it straight through seemed to work and the audience were engrossed in the new songs which is a good sign for the band

GrahamJags
Managed to blag a ticket for Razorlight tonight, by the looks of it. Should be a nostalgia-fest if nothing else. Their new record is pretty decent as well.

southstand_bairn
Young fathers were excellent last week. Definitely a band you can’t take your eyes off. Is it just me or is the sound generally pish in the o2? Anywhere other than smack bang in the middle and you struggled to to hear them

And the bouncers. All round shite venue.

fuzzydunlop
Always thought he was the more talented half of Arab Strap.New album is great, not many folk have a tune with a singalong chorus “f**k off with your happiness” sounds even better with the Scottish accent!
BallochSonsFan
Courtney Marie Andrews was great in Perth last night. Here's hoping tonight's CCA gig is equally great.
Christophe
Got another couple of GZA tickets in the new releases since upgraded to Galvanizers. GrahamJags
Got All Saints tomorrow, Tess Parks on Tuesday and Bjorn Again on Wednesday. The new All Saints record is pretty dreadful, but hearing the hits will be worth it. That and Bjorn Again were Christmas presents for my Mum that benefit me since I wanted to go to both. Tess Parks has apparently been doing an audio-visual show, so that should be interesting. Looking forward to seeing Hazed and Domiciles who are supporting.

AsimButtHitsASix
Dunno if "gigs" is apt but I went to the Ngati Ranana annual Maori Christmas concert on Saturday. Haka and waiata all over the shop. Plus a bit in the middle for "Beats of Polynesia" to have some drumming and dancing from the Cook Islands, Kiribati and Samoa. Ye know thon way when a bunch of percussionists are just so perfectly in synch it's almost frightening? Great stuff.
