Just watched The Good, The Bad & The Queen tonight. Majestic! Played Merrie Land from start to finish, wee interval then half a dozen songs from 1st album
First time I’ve been to SWG3 and liked it, great sound

I was at that too. Great gig and sound at venue is up there with best I've heard. They all looked like they were having a great time on stage.

I'd been to SWG3 before in one of the smaller rooms.  Last night wasn't really the kind of act I'd normally go to see BUT I couldn't help but be impressed by the sheer beauty of it.

Young fathers were excellent last week. Definitely a band you can’t take your eyes off. Is it just me or is the sound generally pish in the o2? Anywhere other than smack bang in the middle and you struggled to to hear them

Sound is crap in O2. As is the overpriced beer. And the bouncers. All round shite venue.

Got All Saints tomorrow, Tess Parks on Tuesday and Bjorn Again on Wednesday.

The new All Saints record is pretty dreadful, but hearing the hits will be worth it. That and Bjorn Again were Christmas presents for my Mum that benefit me since I wanted to go to both.

Tess Parks has apparently been doing an audio-visual show, so that should be interesting. Looking forward to seeing Hazed and Domiciles who are supporting.

Dunno if "gigs" is apt but I went to the Ngati Ranana annual Maori Christmas concert on Saturday. Haka and waiata all over the shop. Plus a bit in the middle for "Beats of Polynesia" to have some drumming and dancing from the Cook Islands, Kiribati and Samoa.  Ye know thon way when a bunch of percussionists are just so perfectly in synch it's almost frightening? Great stuff.
