From clicking on posts in this thread, I've noticed that Twitter seems to have stopped showing anything other than the single tweet in question unless you're logged in (nae danger). No viewing replies allowed.

Going by general comments I've seen about the Musk Experience, is this to stop passing readers noticing that the replies are all from nazis, sexbots, and nazi sexbots these days?

I've never joined Twitter/x, but from what I've read about much of the garbage posted there, and the opinions of many who post there, I suppose that my attitude to it is to treat the source of information as if it was written in the old Sunday Sport with its "World War 2 Bomber found on the Moon" and "Statue of Elvis found on Mars" approach to accuracy.

Incredibly harsh on the Sunday Sport tbh

1980s: Ha ha, look at this ridiculous story in the Sport; what a bunch of amusing shite.

2020s: look at this ridiculous story on Twitter; I'm away to riot and try to murder some people.

I guess the book isn't real, but Google tells me that there's a takeaway in Brum called Chuffalo. Fancy.

I’ve no idea if it’s still there but there used to be a sandwich shop behind Bolton bus station called Nice Baps, which softened my ire toward the English giving rolls stupid names. Barmcake can still f**k all the way off tho.

In the area I was born, they refer to rolls as "batches", which still toasts my teacakes when I hear it for some reason.

Possibly the wrong thread for this, but is The World's Greatest Inventor™ hoping to solve his financial woes by:

  • making it cheaper to just give up and advertise on his platform than pay the legal fees to defend against his mental SLAPP suits, and
  • tanking Twitter so hard that the banks it has loans with become unstable?

I doubt the latter's possible, but I wouldn't bet on him knowing that.
