Annoying things people write on Facebook

One of my "Irish" friends (English dad, Spanish mum, born and raised in Milngavie) is giving it the old "At least we qualified unlike Scotland" on FB.

Pleasing.

Ask him how many Irishmen will be in the second week of Wimbledon.

It's the FB holy grail for one particular full time mummy today. Not only can she post fathers messages to her dad, father in law (who doesn't have Facebook), grandad (again, no Facebook), dead grandad (still has an active FB page, which she has tagged!) and husband, it's also her daughter's birthday.

These people are so important to her that, by the look of things, she's spent the entire morning posting messages to them on her own page, then replying to the many, many full time mummy types who have left messages, rather than, you know, actually spending time with them.

People are strange.

You know what annoys me most about this? The rogue apostrophe!

The fact that it's a picture of a candle, meaning that it couldn't ever go out anyway, seems to make the words rather pointless somewhat.

Facebook should develop something where you can blow the fuckers out.

EXTREMELY URGENT !!! We must FORCE Chinese monsters to SHUT DOWN a horrible massacre of sweet doggies and cats in Yulin's Dog Meat "festival".

Did you know, every year, on the summer solstice, over 10000 of sweet doggies and cats are rounded up to be SADISTICALLY TORTURED AND MURDERED by Chinese monsters Yulin, China as part of a Barbaric Dog Meat “Festivalâ€? We believe that this cruel “festival†has no place in the 21st century. There are so many reasons to end this horrific festival -- warning, the following information may be upsetting. Many of the dogs that are killed are stolen household pets or are watchdogs of rural families. Allowing the Dog Meat Festival to continue is like endorsing dog theft, which supplies the dog meat industry. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is also a dangerous food safety issue. Dogs sold on the market are sick, poisoned and dying animals. They suffer from horrendous conditions during the long distance, trans-provincial journeys, many days without food and water and may carry contagious disease. We appeal to you to act in the interest of public health, food safety, animal welfare, and the image of Guangxi and China. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is a business operation that undermines the national and public interest. The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government is at a historical juncture. The Dog Meat Festival must end. By signing our petition, you’re joining a global movement with like-minded people who want to shut down this heinous festival and trade. In the coming weeks and months, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in both online and in-person events happening around the world.

Maybe if they weren't so sweet then nobody would eat them.

Sweet and sour, surely.
