Homer Thompson
Im enjoying Whittaker more as the Doctor but by god that story line was as awful as it was predictable.

Have to agree. It started out well, then went straight in to an obvious plot. I don't mind that so much - we had enough mind-bending nonsense in the Moffatt era.
Jaggy Snake
Didn't think much of last night's episode. The bits with the companions being back home with other friends were quite good, but the Syria connection seemed kind of pointless and the two villains (who were built up as being particularly evil and powerful) were dealt with very quickly. I know the sonic screwdriver is used whenever it's convient, and its uses vary depending on the episode, but I am getting tired of Whittaker's Doctor using it like a wand that can do anything. Aye, have you ever seen the like?
Bully Wee Villa
I think I enjoyed it but was a bit pissed. Might watch again sober. Actually, on second thoughts, I might just watch all the remaining episodes pissed.
Homer Thompson
Most enjoyable episode of the series for me ... I fell asleep after about 15 minutes. Bad guys frightening people and stealing their fear for fuel ... where do they come up with these ideas?
Guest
I like most of the episodes having an obvious message, mental health, climate change etc. I also like that it will annoy the gammony types that most of the episodes have a clear message.
scottsdad
Probably the best part - seeing the rage from the gammons online. The folk who just want it to recycle the Tom Baker days over and over again.

I’m torn with this. One the one hand, it’s a kids programme so clear messaging is good. On the other, I’m a grown up, and it all just feels so “worthy” at the expense of the plot.
Guest
That was out-bloody-standing. Brilliant story to set up the two part finale.

Homer Thompson
By far the best episode of the new Doctor. Genuinely struggling to find anything to criticise
The Naitch
That was brilliant from start to finish.
scottsdad
Really enjoyed that. Seems off that we are at the finale as it seems like the series is just starting.

Homer Thompson
Another really good episode. Hopefully the finale is as good as the last two weeks.
ajwffc
It was a good episode with the only drawback being the sound getting louder and quieter during different parts
Bully Wee Villa
Was decent enough. I found myself a lot more interested in the story of Brendan than the main plot. Be interesting to see how he enters into the whole thing. Did we know that Graham's surname was O'Brien before? Wonder if he could be related.
The Naitch
Have to say that this series has been one of the most enjoyable in the modern era. Some really good episodes capped off by tonight's brilliant finale.
