~~~ Posted November 1, 2014 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Am I being whoosed here? No, It was the words they heard in the white noise. And it was explained the "dead" are still connected with their bodies, they can still feel what it feels. hence the pleas not to be cremated 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bully Wee Villa Posted November 1, 2014 Share Posted November 1, 2014 I thought that for a bit but I think 3W just meant "three words", not necessarily "three words that start with W". So "don't cremate me" was the correct answer. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kilbowie's Finest Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Really liked that last night - think Michelle Gomez is fantastic and would not be at all surprised to see several twists and turns next week about her "real" identity. Loved her line " Another ranting Scotsman - didn't know there was a match on ! " Capaldi was also fantastic yet again - Hope next week's episode lives up to the high standards shown in the vast majority of this series 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jock001 Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Missy > The Mistress > The Master. Its so fucking obvious now Even as she was saying it, I still thought it would be Romana. A timelord, who the doctor left behind, who was called mistress. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NorthernLights Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 I feel sorry for anyone whose kids saw that. I really enjoyed it but the whole dead bodies and "Don't cremate me" must have left a few traumatised kids last night. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bully Wee Villa Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Good. Doctor Who is meant to scare children. If you've never hidden behind the settee you're not a proper fan! I still reckon the "are you my mummy" one was the scariest. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KnightswoodBear Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Great episode, even though I was spoiled as to Missy's identity whilst absent mindedly looking at twitter last night. Whilst the whole concept was pretty creepy, the bit I thought was particularly grim was him coming face to face with the wee boy he killed. Pretty fucked up for a kids show. More of that please. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pretty fucked up for a kids show. It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if it turned out he hadn't killed the child, and theres a different reason for the meeting. The show likes to force perceptions on you before going a different direction 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
harry94 Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 I think Moffat is trolling a bit. Missy will end up being a projection of the Master and we might even get an appearance from John Simm. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jock001 Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Who is Romana? A former companion who the doctor left in E-space. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romana_%28Doctor_Who%29 K-9 used to call her mistress all the time and because she was left outside the normal universe she may not have been affected by all the problems with the time war or the doctor rebooting the universe. Feck knows how they'll explain the master's return. Edited November 2, 2014 by jock001 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bully Wee Villa Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 I can't see them struggling too much to explain the return. Most regular Dr Who villains have been completely obliterated from reality half a dozen times and manage to find a way back! 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AyrshireTon Posted November 3, 2014 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Even as she was saying it, I still thought it would be Romana. A timelord, who the doctor left behind, who was called mistress. My first thought was The Rani, although I couldn't recall how she ended up at the end of Time and the Rani.When Missy said "abandoned" I then discounted Romana, as she chose to leave the Doctor. I briefly thought of Susan, as the Doctor did sort of force her to leave him. All other female Gallifreyans (e.g. Flavia, Inquisitor) were not very well known to have been used. The revelation that it was the Master left me gobsmacked. The "Don't cremate me" playback was possibly the most unnerving thing I've ever heard on TV. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
