The Sunday Mail owned up to their recent mistakes this week with a page two correction on Stirling's pitch and the record crowd in Brazil for a fourth tier match.

They said in that correction that Stirling Albion don't have a plastic pitch, never have done

What publication was responsible for this? A modicum of research would have revealed that Michael Laudrup is infact manager at Swansea! Does no one proof read these things?

edited for bad spelling.

BBC rumours page from earlier.

Commenting on the sacking of Derek McInnes, Sporting Life came up with:

"The 41-year-old left Kilmarnock to take the Robins job in October 2011 and kept them in the Championship during his first season in charge."

If nothing else, they kind of got the right club colours....

According to Sky Sports News this morning Morton vs Clyde is subject to a 10am pitch inspection this morning. Also claimed that only three games had been called off in Scotland before showing a caption that showed the four games that have actually been postponed.

According to most sources Dumbarton Vs Livingston yesterday was off. The BBC reported it so everyone else copied. No doubt this affected the gates.

Ah, thought I was going a bit doolally yesterday - Sky had the game shown as being off but the scores were coming through.

Sunday Times match report on Falkirk v Forfar today states that Campbell was brought down for Forfar penalty rather than Templeman : fair enough, I can accept a misidentification, but apparently Stuart Hall (!), not Darren Hill was in goals for Forfar.

Also, Blair Alston "backheeled the ball over his head, turned and played a perfect pass to Taylor" Blatantly wrong - the backheel went directly to Taylor - only one of the best pieces of individual skill seen at TFS for years.

I know the two teams are 2nd Div but West FM on Saturday said "Ayr's game with Berwick has been called off due to a frozen pitch" and again this morning they were at it calling Queen of the South "The Honest Men"

Surely a local radio station would be able to get it right?
