betting competition
Has this thread covered the fact that aberdeens away support has drastically declined in the last 4 years? Sheep attendance at fir park was always impressive, now its pretty similar to most other spl clubs outwith the OF Indeed can't disagree with you there our away support has got a lot less in that time you have said. We still bring good numbers to Inverness, Dundee Utd, Hearts, Hibs, St Johnstone (apart from the sky game and terrible weather this season) and sell out Rangers but the rest we seem to struggle getting a support to. But its not as much as we used to take to these grounds. Dunfermline we used to take good support but this season was the lowest i've seen us take there apart from end of season games. Never seem to take good numbers to Killie or Motherwell although Motherwell game this season was just after East Fife game this season. Supporters Clubs in Aberdeen these days are struggling for numbers to go down.

My estimate was nearly right - Hearts were a bit lower than I remembered and Aberdeen slightly higher. TV games are in red. Midweek evening kick-offs are in blue. Aberdeen 474 East Fife 425 (LC) You constantly told me the same number of fans would make the trip. Over 200 difference. You also said more East Fife fans made the journey than Aberdeen fans

RAZOR
A couple of hundred, same as you brought to Ayrshire. . You're support in recent years at Killie as been abysmal for a club your size. A few hundred silent fans. The mighty aberdeen never bring a decent support to Killie either. East Fife brought more. Did I? No you didnt, that was a lie. My apologies. St Mirren 1411 Jeeze that was higher than I thought, not a bad crowd at all, didn't think we took that many.

Guest
We always get a piss poor away crowd at Killie. We do enough travelling as it is and for some reason it's never really that attractive as an away day. Although I went down a couple of years ago and had a fucking great day out. Fanny by the Gaslight We consistently get good away crowds at United, Perth (TV game aside), Rangers and Hearts. Average crowds at Hibs and Celtic. Random away days in the cup will see us take thousands upon thousands. The rest are poor. It's when the games against Smurn, Killie etc come up that our numbers dwindle. Been playing these bloody teams for years though. Our home crowds are woeful and have been for years.

No idea where you got these figures but there was certainly not 110 Aberdeen fans in Norway!
Sherrif John Bunnell
Aberdeen must have sold out the away end on Saturday or at least have been very close. Even TGFITW didn't fill the gazebo.

Your away support at Tannadice a few weeks ago was given as 3,926 Our second visit to Pittodrie last season was 1,555 since it hasn't been added The stats are from the Aberdeen heritage website, which I (perhaps wrongly) presume is updated by the club or someone at the club. They certainly endorse it anyway and I'd find it hard to believe they'd be getting figures from elsewhere other than the club.
ShedruleFTD83
That was the widely accepted figure At no point was 4,003 ever mentioned, small difference as it is.
vercol36
As much as i love the city of Aberdeen, I can't ever bring myself to travel there for an away game. I would rather save the money to go to a game closer to home, with lower travel costs and a less windy away stand!
