Zeus Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Source? i've heard it being rumoured, but not confirmed. Just asked the same thing (on another thread i think) cant see it being part of a contract. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gibby82 Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 He was cutting a very haunted figure on the news the other night.... It will be scandalous if he is employed by the BBC again. Scandalous, yet entirely predictable. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
glenrothes 1884 saint Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Just asked the same thing (on another thread i think) cant see it being part of a contract. I'd agree,it will be an assumption that the bigot twosome will always play each other in the top 6,rather than included in the actual contract 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GordieBoy80 Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Found this, I definitely saw the Old Firm match stipulation on SSN though http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17047957 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Reynard Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Your asked a question and respond like that? Says a lot about your upbringing. Too right. And I've never lost a streetfight yet. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Sky Sports News. Sky Sports News came out and said that was part of the deal with the SPL? Just asked the same thing (on another thread i think) cant see it being part of a contract. Same, I don't see it being part of the contract. More likely the deal states Sky Sports screens all OF games, and none for ESPN. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
theoriginalhedge Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Can someone clarify if all football debts must be paid in full or not ? HJ will probably put me right on this, but I read that if any monies were owed to any other football club or football association, then eufa would refuse to issue a club licence , therefore denying a club the right to play in Europe among other things. HibeeJibee Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 TV contract is dependant on both Rangers and Celtic being in the SPL or else Sky-ESPN can pull out or renegotiate. It's on BBC and todays Scotsman. But highly unlikely it actually specifies 4 games. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevor the tractor Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 I'd vote them back in but with conditions....For a start get rid of the 11-1 voting system etc. The SPL needs Rangers but at the moment Rangers are weak and they need the help of the SPL clubs if they go into liquidation so kick them when they're down The 'other' clubs can change the face of the SPL here and with Rangers in a weak position it leaves Celtic vulnerable too. Be strong and demand change. It's the perfect opportunity to weaken the OF's grip on Scottish football. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
If anything it shows Neil Doncaster is a fucking idiot for agreeing to something like that with the unpredictably of football 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gibby82 Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Daily Record front page tomorrow: http://twitpic.com/8kf2dy . Hope United have the balls to go ahead with that plan. That headline, even for tabloid standards, is sensationalist horse shit. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SpudNuts Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 No way it would stipulate 4 matches, that's tantamount to fixing the league deliberately for money. No way that would ever happen in Scotland... 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Zeus Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Found this, I definitely saw the Old Firm match stipulation on SSN though http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/17047957 WOW, there you go then, cant actually believe that. I bet it was more to stop them leaving than any thought of Rangers going bust. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Not allegedly, not Zeus understand, just a total and utter c**t of a man. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
HibeeJibee Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 If the existing outfit exists administration - it must settle all football debts. If it goes into liquidation, but the 'club' survives through its league memberships etc. being transferred from Company ABCD to Company WXYZ - I'm sure it'll be the same. If it goes into liquidation, the memberships lapse, and a new club is formed - it isn't liable for footbal debts (like Gretna 2008 aren't for Gretna FC's). [However, in practice, if that final scenario saw "AFC Rangers 2012" parachuted directly into SPL, I'm sure they'd be made to "pay an entrance fee" or suchlike equivalent to any football debts.] 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
