Anyway maybe i was wrong about Somers, he does seem to be a very insightful chap and appears to be as the kids say right on.

#RFC chairman Somers: sad that, perhaps because of recent club history, supporters are suspicious of any #Rangers board.

F**k it i'm going back, please take my money....

· Group Revenue increased by 32% to £25.2m (2013: £19.1m)

· Retail revenue increased by 375% to £7.6m (2013: £1.6m)

· Sponsorship and advertising revenues rose to £1.5m (2013: £0.8; +79%)

· 42% reduction in operating losses to £8.3m (2013: £14.4m)

· Other Operating Income rose from £1.7m to £2.1m (+22%)

· Significantly reduced cost base across the Group

These figures appear to contradict the assertion of "Significantly reduced cost base".

If group revenue increased by circa £6m (almost all of it down to addition retail revenue) and operating losses were reduced by the same amount, then that would suggest the cost base was virtually identical to the previous year.

I know this is off topic, but have any of you guys every tried tofu?

I haven't, I have no plans on, I just don't get it!

I know it's a stereotype to suggest that all Thistle fans are tofu eating west end luvvies.

But that's like suggesting every rangers fan is a Union Jack waving bigot who sends nail bombs through the post to every catholic in the phone book.

Rangers on edge of another cash crisis as accounts reveal 'significant funds' are needed in next two months

THE Ibrox club's latest accounts show an operating loss of £8.3m with auditors Deloitte admitting to ‘material uncertainty’ over the business as a going concern.

RANGERS are staring in the face another financial crisis after revealing in the club’s latest accounts that they need an £8m cash injection in order to continue to trade.

The distressed Ibrox outfit announced an operating loss of £8.3m to the stock exchange today with auditors Deloitte admitting to ‘material uncertainty’ over the business as a going concern.

The latest annual accounts show that, while losses have been pegged back from last year’s huge £14.4m deficit, the club is in desperate need of funding if it is to avoid another cash meltdown - less than three years after Craig Whyte tipped it under.

Shareholders will now meet at what is certain to be an explosive AGM on December 22 to vote on a proposal to issue new shares in an attempt to raise the £8m needed to keep the floodlights switched on for another 12 months.

And yesterday’s figures show that the new money will be needed as early as January in order for the club to continue to meet its obligations.

But there is no indication that Sports Direct billionaire Mike Ashley - who has seized control of the boardoom after drip feeding £3m worth of emergency loans - will be prepared to ride to Rangers rescue by underwriting the issue with any more of his own cash.

In the strategic report of the Rangers International Football Club accounts, beleaguered chairman David Somers states: “Without taking account of the possibility for refinancing the £3million short term loan facility falling due for repayment in April 2015 or of the impact of any cost reduction measures or of any other potential sources of revenue, such as player transfer or loan fees, the forecast identifies that the group will require up to £8million by way of debt or equity finance within the next 12 months.

“The forecast indicates that these significant further funds will be required in early 2015, the first tranche of which being required in January 2015, to meet day to day working capital requirements.”

The figures show a massive 375 per cent hike in retail revenue from £1.6m to £7.6m with sponorship and advertising revenues more than doubled to £1.5m.

But despite those improvements, accountancy giants Deloitte could not give the club a clean bill of health and included an ‘emphasis of matter’ in the statement indicating their concerns about the club’s financial state.

The club’s annual wage bill sits at a whopping £14.7m - with Ally McCoist’s first team squad believed to account for less than £6m of that total.

More than £500k was splashed out on huge severance deals with one time chief executive Craig Mather and disgraced financial director Brian Stockbridge.

Graham Wallace, fired after Ashley’s recent power grab, is said to have been given a £100k pay-off package.

In the report Deloitte said: “The Group requires additional funding to continue to meet its liabilities as they fall due. The Group has made key assumptions in relation to its ability to secure further funding in addition to the timing and value of season ticket income, increases in matchday income and sponsorship, the timing and value of dividends and further cost reductions.

“These conditions around the need to secure further funding, along with the details provided in note 1 of the financial statements, indicate the existence of a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt over the Group’s ability to continue as a going concern and therefore that the Group may be unable to realise its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business. The financial statements do not include the adjustments that would result if the Group was unable to continue as a going concern.”

The note stated that Rangers expect promotion to the top flight this season, and consequent uplift in season ticket income and other revenue in the summer. On Saturday McCoist’s team fell nine points behind Scottish Championship leaders Hearts after a 2-0 defeat at Tynecastle.

Why is what Ashley has done is a 'power grab', and the wage bill of over £14million is not a 'greed grab'?

Will be delighted to watch the squealing and whimpering as Ashley starts to get hi teeth sunk into some the the Rangers leeches. :thumsup2:lol:

Good shout Dave. Nae c**t on P&B would ever resort to that stereotype. Nor would they ever make jokes about XXL shirts.

So it's true. Nae c**t on P&B makes idiotic stereotypes.

Three things, Tofu boy:

1. I assume you meant to say, "the Queen's English". I am here to save the apostrophe.

2. I have no dictionary or thesaurus that has 'chapfallen ' as a word. 'Crestfallen'? Quite possibly.

3. 'Potty mouth'? I do have. At least the mouth of my potty speaks fucking grammatical English.

I have 2 comments.

1. For sure we are moribund; at death's door. Isn't this obvious and does it need me to point it out?

2. Anyone who calls us, " SevcoRangers 2012" is an unmitigated fanny.

Planty Bears would be happy to have a sensible discourse but there threads are overrun by pusillanimous retards.
