thelegendthatis
Someone is playing a clever game here. First the telfer decision is announced. Bdo say they will claim for old co. Then the rule breaking announcement re Ashley. The alexander ruling - his contract said if McGregor left, now they all left the company and club. Under type rules his contract stays the same.. If McGregor leaves and he did... And now the claim on footballing debts. Are they pushing for the spivs to make their own announcement of continuation prior to an admin event so they don't have to decide new or same club?? And of course they are meeting greedy Ally today. How can the board possibly agree anything with him? I presume they had assumed they would be getting the £250k from the SPFL and be part of their calculations. Now they aren't and can either fight it through the courts (takes lots of time) or take it on the chin (and whinge about it). The stupidity of the board members never ceases to amaze. So even if if they agree to give Ally a small 6 figure sum to go now, can they afford it? If they do pay him off what else gives? The only person we know of who can dig them out of this horrendous mess is Ashley. And this is on the day Hearts move further away from madmen running their club http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30508052and the comments from Fraser Wishart are worth reading. "Ann Budge and her team have dealt with the matter in a courteous and professional manner, which has led to these debts being settled in a short period of time." Look forward to the day people say Rangers were courteous or professional.

Just lots of people seeing the flashing red danger signs for the NewCo and scrambling to get back some of the cash it owes them ASAP, in case it goes bust and screws all of its creditors all over again. Edit: Although now I think of it, it's a canny game the SPFL are playing here right enough: Pay the DeadCo's fine and keep your dubious claims of continuity, or fight us all the way by telling the world that you're a different club. The latter is inevitably going to involve some high-profile figures at the NewCo arguing no connection, which - regardless of what you think about the "same club" stuff - is going to be very, very damaging to them with the fans. RawB93
The Scottish Professional Football League is withholding £250,000 of broadcast money due to Rangers in a bid to recoup a fine imposed for the club's use of a controversial tax scheme. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30510604 It just keeps getting better. Thank f**k I'm not a Rangers fan.

One of the posts: I go to most games, but will be giving this game a miss. I will only ever go to a Bheast game at Ibrox. The scum at Terrorist FC and the SFA will not be getting one penny of my hard earned. I genuinely don't see the Bheasts as our rivals any more. I see them on the same level as St Mirren, Thistle etc. He could've added They're no in the same league as us

Guest
It is pleasing in the extreme to see what the followers of Rangers (old and new) have to go through on a now daily basis. Can't think of a fan base more deserving of such relentless heartache and turmoil. To know the diehards are squirming, agonising and worrying everyday is just great More please!

It's like somebody at HQ has grown a pair. I thought the original complaint against Ashley was a bit weak - all it needed was for him to face up and there was a good chance the authorities would back down. But throwing this Oldco fine into the mix is maybe just enough to make him say 'feck it' and walk away.
OTIG_FTOF
http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=277169&st=0%22%20title=%22Previous%20page%22%20rel= A plan that could rock what's left of Scottish football to its very foundations. Don't often read these links when posted, but just had a look at that one - they really are a different breed entirely. Some chucklers include: I genuinely don't see the Bheasts as our rivals any more. I see them on the same level as St Mirren, Thistle etc. So what level does this orc view Sevco at? Champions of the Universe? Should be in a Euro league WITH Real Madrid, Bayern and Barca? I'd suggest Celtic being at same level as St Mirren and Thistle is that they are all top league teams, while Sevco rivals are now likes of Alloa, Dumbarton and Clyde. The only way you can truly hurt them is for the club to refuse to play the game and give the result to the scum, and that is not going to happen. That would be excellent. Hauled up in front of another disiplinary panel, kicked out the Scottish Cup for 3 years, given another fine they can't pay. And then next season they can try argue it was the company of Club2 ti blame for pulling out the semifinal and not the Club, so the company of Club3 can argue the club Rangersevcontrick (Est2014) shouldn't be excluded from the Cup. IF WE CAN ORGANISE 15,000 to walk to hampden we can organise 15,000 to walk out of Hampden and would do the semi final grand piece showcase alot of damage. On reflection , i actually think this will happen - 15000 will walk out of Hampden enmass, but it will be after 40 minutes when their ex-rivals go 4-0 up, and nothing to do with any protest against the SFA or SPFL.
steelmen
do you think the BBC believe the pish they write? Administration and subsequent liquidation of the former company that ran the club resulted in Rangers playing in the fourth tier of Scottish football. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30509080
NewBlue
i don't know why this should be the case now since this was david murray's company? Because to get the old clubs licence the new club agreed to pay off the football debts of the old club. -
