LuoAnLai
Sensible move by The Rovers. Don't chuck money in a black hole in the hope that you might get it back.

steelmen
interesting nugget in the middle of this report http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30924620 If King is successful at the GM vote, he has a new nominated advisor - the company which manages Rangers International Football Club's listing on the Alternative Investment Market - lined up, which will back his appointment as a director. another dodgy Nomad like the last one that was suspended?? Why are fans backing this guy why not the 3 bears? who if i remember rightly have clean records, not sat on the board of the old club\company, and the only thing that separates them from the other real rangers men is that they haven't promised a massive war chest that they can't afford. In my opinion these guys seem to be exactly the ones that you would want in charge because unlike King and the current board they don't go running to the press every 2 minutes down talking the other side. they just quietly go about there business.
GreenockRover
To be honest.... we were never OFF that list since Turnbull called them out for what they were. ...and are ...and continue to be.
Dr Koop
A few months ago you were on your high horse about dual ownership issues, now you are implying that it's a trivial issue. Is that a big white high horse?

Dr Koop
He must be fed up with the quiet life in Iraq and Syria. Is that not Giovanni DiStefano you're thinking of?
FinnesTON
Can I ask what may seem a stupid question in this but if Whyte could buy the oldco fully fledged Rangers for a £1 and that seems a reasonable valuation by the hordes why is MA's possible £10 million secured loan seen as controversial given they have went through a shiteload of cash in three years. So the tribute act supporters want someone to spend in like Murray knowing its a failed model that ended in their demise, do they have a death wish ?

Granny Danger
The whole 'security over Ibrox' argument is a red herring that only make sense to the intellectually challenged. Businesses throughout Scotland, and elsewhere, use their assets as collateral to secure a loan. There's nothing unusual here.
pozbaird
Friday tomorrow. Have filled the bath full of jelly and the bin full of ice cream (washed it first). Premature? Get Carol Vorderman and Rachel Riley in the bath and something will be premature for sure.
GreenockRover
Can I ask what may seem a stupid question in this but if Whyte could buy the oldco fully fledged Rangers for a £1 and that seems a reasonable valuation by the hordes why is MA's possible £10 million secured loan seen as controversial given they have went through a shiteload of cash in three years. So the tribute act supporters want someone to spend in like Murray knowing its a failed model that ended in their demise, do they have a death wish ? Errrrr..... Yes. The majority of their fanbase don't see the Minty years as a failure either. It won them lots of shiny silverware and that's ALL that matters. It's not how or who could afford it, it's the fact they won stuff. Sure, Minty had to conceal the debt in his specially set up companies within MIH Group but - hey, who cares they WON STUFF! Bought big in the transfer markets. Were courted by ALL the press / media. They WERE THE PEOPLE! Now, we all know (?) the story of Icarus and how his demise was pretty much inevitable, well Rangers fans would sooner blame the sun than admit they flew too close in the first place. The fanbase, and, it must be said, some of the would be owners/directors of the entity at Ibrox have become addicted to their (self) perceived stature and do indeed want to return to the discredited model of financing the ridiculous by means of the incredulous (maybe that's better the other way around ?) Unfortunately for them the days of being able to call upon ludricous/dubious sources of finance to fund these ridiculous gambles or ego trips has pretty much gone the way of the dodo. At the very least, the idea that that kind of behaviour can be embarked upon un-noticed now has gone. There will always be a spotlight on them now. Questions will always be asked, by others if they can't be relied upon to do it for themselves. Any credibility they ever had (lol) has gone forever. Any strong governing authority, not conflicted by one of its' members being entangled in the web of deceit, would have been far more transparent and effective in dealing with this sleazy mess... but that's another subject. I simply wonder how MANY versions of their Club they will see before the penny drops. ETA: sloppy grammar and spelling ffs! thelegendthatis
Newcastle 19th in World Football World Rankings. Maybe doesn't prove Ashley is a nice guy, but he ain't doing half bad for Newcastle. Wonder where a Dave King led Rangers would sit in this list?
