Pete's Frontier
Hard to work our from Potless where they raise the 20m he talks about. This is an insolvent, loss making business with no credit line and soon to be delisted. They can create new shares for Glib to underwrite but that's it - no after market so no sane institution will touch it. They owe MASH £5m in December and are going to need at least £10-15m just to keep the lights This is all about leveraging the compliant SFA into okaying Glib as FPP, despite his obvious criminal convictions and oldco directorship which makes his appointment illegal.

10menwent2mow
Good to see Andy Considine get a testimonial at AFC last night. At least another 7 years until a Sevconian can be considered for one of them. Reading that interview with Murray, there seems to be a lot of 'getting round to it' and 'looking into it'

BinoBalls
96 year old Queens visit the champions today. We have a proud tradition of playing football matches against other teams on Saturday afternoons. Our fan base is composed primarily - possibly exclusively in fact - of people. Am I doing it right? Pretty good effort, though it's missing the word "rightful" and therefore any sense of entitlement.
10menwent2mow
Just a thought. If they do manage to negotiate the playoffs, do we not all think that there may be hefty 'promotion bonuses' due to the squad.
squidger
It does boggle the mind how any business that effectively wiped the slate clean 3 years ago, can again be so up to their necks in debt. If they do make it through the playoffs, although currently drawing with the whipping boys of the championship lol, why are they talking about europe? they should be building an adequate squad to stay in the Premiership if they make it, build up their funds not gamble everything.

Not really. How many administrations have Dundee and Livingston racked up between them?

deerokus
Not really. How many administrations have Dundee and Livingston racked up between them? Neither of them liquidated and started from scratch though. The problem for Sevco seems to be institutional and inherited from Rangers - overestimating their size and financial power, and a deep-seated addiction with spending well beyond their means just to show they are billy-big-boots. I am sure the running costs of the stadium must be pretty gargantuan for a club at their level, too. If that isn't close to being filled at least a FEW times a season then it's just a drain on finances. I was replying to a post saying it was quite baffling how the Sevco could be in financial trouble only three years after their previous incarnation went tits up. It isn't baffling - as Dundee and Livingston's multiple administrations illustrates. Making an utter cnut of it once is not necessarily the end of it as those clubs prove.

The only trick you missed was, " the running costs of the asbestos-ridden stadium must be pretty gargantuan". Aside from that you are cliche-rich and information-free. The few Sellick fans who are able to form a complete sentence welcome you to their ranks.
