Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Where did I say they were the same.....oh that's right I didn't , then again, how can anyone argue with a post weighted with so many wonderfully placed tactical smilies,

Because the rules allowed it and because we are the establishment club.

Bidco / pacific shelf? it is common practice to buy an off the shelf company and change the name.

Really? ffs

Again.

Maybe you should have said ''it is common practice to buy an off the shelf club and assets and change the name''. You do remember Charles Green did not buy the company that ran the football club known back then as Rangers FC?.

As it happened Sevco Scotland Ltd became The Rangers Football Club Ltd as it is today, now why would a new entity call itself after a company that had been around since 1899, now we know the Ltd co became a plc under David Murray but it was the same company, same company that went into liquidation in 2012. No why would Charles Green call this new entity The Rangers Football Club Ltd after a company that was currently in the process of being liquidated?.

For anyone not in the know it appears it might appear the difference and the continuity would be in the company just going back to being a limited company. Not that there once was a CVA knocked back nor that the company called The Rangers Football Club plc entered into liquidation proceedings.

Maybe you should call yourself The Tedi just to prove your point that there was continuation and the word The was only a formality to avoid a legal challenge while the lobbyists earned their money trying to convince the governing bodies and the meedya that this was indeed the same club.

Oh I forgot no 5 stars on the shirts because no one was sure this was the same club. How fucking bright is that not knowing what you are?. :1eye

But of course they knew what they were, ............they were a lie.

Also, "The" was used for particularly sneaky reasons - some fans referred to "the rangers" in conversation pre-2012, just because of their own particular way of speaking. So Green was able to jump on the back of that. But more sneaky imo was using a prefix that would actually get in the way during general conversation - he knew fine well that people would soon want to stop that and just use the word "Rangers" simply to benefit the flow of the conversation. As I said, sneaky and lacking any dignity.

In fact I recall Cowan and Cosgrove on radio Scotland a couple of years ago agreeing that they should stop trying to say "The Rangers" simply because it kept tripping up their conversations.

So there you go - the only reason that (the new) Rangers get treated the same as the old Rangers is for the sake of conversation ;)

Never knew that P and B had so many corporate/company experts, some of ranaldo bairns posts have been quite eye opening.

City Dave must be a bigwig in the 'city' ,he really nails it in way that the bloggers just can't manage.

The truth as they say is out there...
