Broken Algorithms
Why are TV deals we get a total of zero from the concern of SFL clubs? It is a problem for the SPL, they should have told their fans that this was the case rather than trying to act completely valiant and saying "We must protect sporting integrity". Fact of the matter is that it is the problem for those in the top tier and not those in the second.
Cobardon
Jim Spence @bbcjimspenceNeil Doncaster tells sfl that Sky, Espn and sport 5 deals at threat as contracts require RFC in spl in 2013/14 value 17.35 mill Expand Reply Retweet Favorite My word. If only we had someone involved at the highest level who could renegotiate that amount to reflect the new reality of no Rangers. Say, a Chief Executive of the SPL. I mean, if someone offered Doncaster £5k for his car and he wanted £10k, would he then write off the sale completely and claim he'd lost £10k as a result?

Hints at corrupt values, where financial gain overrules sporting integrity. Doncaster has to go.
The Old Northerner
Turnbull Hutton is an absolute legend! Email sent. A year's lottery paid for. Not much in the grand scheme of things but the man's actions deserve some recognition.
BigBadSaint
Chicks view from 2002 But I have a problem with clubs who can eject their debt by going into administration and then resume normal service in the same division while former employees - and not just players - are left drowning in a sea of debt. It is morally wrong. " "Embarrassed by their financial hell" "escaped the grip of a shameful death." " It is morally wrong. " "You don't have to be the Chancellor of the Exchequer to work out why your balance sheet is seriously unbalanced. It's written on the wall in great big neon: player wages." "For too many years, too many average foreigners have set up camp here: over-paid, over-valued and over-here." He knows the cause. He knows how it affects those who aren't paid what they're owed as a result. He knows it's morally wrong. On this occasion it's probably even more morally wrong as those high wages were paid in part by cheating the Tax system and in offering EBT enhanced terms cheating other teams of potential players and cheating other competing teams out of prize money as a result of having a stronger squad. ...and yet totally different viewpoint this time round

Londoner
Im calling absolute bullshit on that. What about next season? If the contracts required Rangers in the SPL then, surely, it would be every season, not just, conveniently, the one after next which, conveniently, would be acheivable if only these guys in the SFL see sense. Cockwomble And thats before we even get into the debate about how unbelievable it is that anyone signed off contracts with that clause in it +1
EdTheDuck
Not sure how that affects Berwick Rangers? It’ll affect Berwick because one way or another the £1.9M Annual Settlement will, somehow or another, be torn up and taken away from the SFL clubs…

Mind you, if it's true that the contract hasn't yet been signed then it's all immaterial. Has anyone seen a figure suggested for what a Rangers-less SPL would be worth to TV? Some of that 17.35 million would be recouped.
