No, not aimed at you.

To tell the truth i never noticed, maybe because we were on a temporary license from the SFA for that game only. I assume we'll have the irn bru nadges on once the league kicks off. I'll keep on an eye on it anyway.

Good man. Wouldn't like to think Sevco thought that anything bar gold edition Clydesdale Bank SPL patches on their kit was beneath them.

Nicola Lawwell ( Bottom right (edited) )

So much for the " independent " enquiry into the EBT scheme ?

Surely yet another example of a conflict of interest ?

Why are Harper Mcleod being allowed to investigate us ?

Something stinks !

Peter Lawwells daughter worked for the 'independant' Harper MacLeod :o

Jeekers, it has fair got the Orcs in a seething rage

We're a newco, they've already stated they are now going after individuals, not the club. So if they go after Murray then everyones a winner.

I am still confused. Are you a newco with all the previous clubs history? or are you a newco that has only played one game?

Just had a PMSL at the thread. "Summer Placement Scheme" suggests that she got a temp student gig there 2 years ago. Clearly indicative of corruption at the highest levels of the game.

The kid-on Rangers fans have got this all wrong. They should be desperate for Lawwell to pull some strings, the long-term interests of both Sevco and Celtic rely on the commercial exploitation of sectarianism.

To be fair only about 5% of the thread is re 'corruption', the rest is whether or not they would pump her

That is for the EBT caseand other financial irregularities no doubt but that is totally separate from the dual contracts investigation by the SPL.

I look foward to them nabbing Murray who did royally Feck you'se left right and centre

Is Chick Young dead ?

Not at all. He had a fine time at Tannadice yesterday, drooling at the skills of the young fella Barry Stevens-McKay. He congratulated Paul Houston on the young fellas performance.

Caught up on a few things over the weekend, and the most startling thing was Billy Dudds being interviewed on his EBT. I can't for the life of me think why he felt the need to come out and say anything - or indeed if someone gave him a nudge and asked him to put his side across. Think of the players! 1!! Thur innocent!

Either way, it was an absolutely cringeworthy 5 minutes or so.

Did anyone read Keevins' latest bit of tripe?

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/walter-smiths-diagnosis-for-scottish-football-1220890

Walter Smith must be listened to when he says Scottish Football is in a mess

THE former Scotland and Rangers boss' diagnosis may be tough but we must listen to him and cure our ills.

Walter+Smith.jpg Former Rangers boss Walter Smith If a press man had said what Walter Smith did about Scottish football starting to resemble the League of Ireland there would have been uproar.

There would have been talk of mendacious journalists bending the truth in a way that merited a visit to the Leveson Inquiry.

There would have been accusations of bias and sour grapes because Rangers represent the establishment and have the media in their back pocket, whether they’re skint or not.

And there would have been pledges to boycott whatever newspapers were concerned in covering up Rangers’ wrongdoing by saying it was bad for the game to put them into the Third Division.

But when it comes to Walter what are we going to do? Is someone seriously going to suggest he made all of this up just to get back at those who decided it was in the best interests of the game to jeopardise the SPL’s finances?

Scaremongering? What difference does it make to him now he’s out and free to enjoy the life without fretting over football?

This is a man with five decades worth of experience in the inner workings of Scottish football as player, coach and manager.

Rangers to the core, certainly, but a down-to-earth and credible observer of the game that’s made him a wealthy man and is now impoverished.

Walter has done all of us a favour by using the first weekend of the SPL season to deliver the home truths concerning where we stand.

We’re in a mess and rehabilitation can only begin, like recovering alcoholics, by admitting the existence of a problem in the first place.

And we can start by taking stock of where we are off the park. The SFA have appointed a new security chief, the former Strathclyde Police superintendent David Brand, who was previously with the Football Co-ordination Unit for Scotland.

That’s the anti-bigotry lot to you and me.

Rangers owner Charles Green can be introduced to him when he goes to Hampden to face the charge of bringing the game into disrepute that will undoubtedly be made against him for his ill-considered remark about bigotry having been responsible for his club’s entry into Division Three.

We’ve gone daft in this country – to the extent there’s no shock value any more.

The SFA’s chief executive Stewart Regan publicly describes a life of police surveillance after his flat was targeted by potential threats to his safety and no one really bothers.

They obtained his wife’s mobile phone number and put it on the internet. How weird have we become and when does revulsion set in to allow us a road back to normality?

Neil Lennon said he wanted Celtic to beat HJK Helsinki in their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night so that the result would put a smile on people’s faces.

You couldn’t make Scottish football lighten up and smile if you had Ken Dodd’s tickling stick.

Most of the country hoped Lennon’s team got stuffed against the Finns because that’s the way we are.

St Johnstone are out of Europe. Motherwell are preparing to say their farewells in Greece this week and Dundee United will need a Muscovite miracle if they’re to return from Russia still in the Europa League after the second leg of their tie with Dynamo Moscow.

Celtic will be the last hope of saving our dwindling credibility when they go to Helsinki after having conceded an away goal to HJK in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

They’ll go there with defenders playing out of position and hope the absence of a commanding figure at the back doesn’t return to bite them.

You don’t want to express that opinion too loudly, incidentally, because Celtic still believe in that primitive system of banning people whose observations displease them. But that’s another matter.

When Helsinki’s over, good or bad, they’ll dump the SPL for a weekend and go off to Philadelphia to play Real Madrid in order to make a few bob.

That’s where we’re at in the aftermath of the summer shake-up where Celtic had to vote against their best interests rather than alienate the fundamentalists within their own support by asking for Rangers to stay in the SPL.

That’s all Walter was trying to say – we’ve made our bed of nails and now we need to lie on it for as long as it takes to bend the game back into shape.

Now he can use that training on how to open suspicious envelopes he was given by the police when he was still Rangers boss in case any threatening mail is delivered to his house due to the fact he has the temerity to be honest.

As Doddy would say, it’s tattyfilarious. With the emphasis on the tatty.

This was the comment I posted on it and I think Keevins must have got onto it pretty quickly as it had a negative vote straight away.

Keevins, you're a member of a dying breed like that idiot Traynor. Nobody gives a damn anymore about what you have to say just like nobody gives a damn about what "Rangers men" have to say. Rangers brought their ills upon themselves and no amount of talking or scaremongering is going to change the fact. Sir Wally is so toxic you could find him with a geiger counter. The Daily Record would do well to pension off all the succulent lamb brigade and employ some new blood as it is fast becoming the laughing stock of Scotland. People don't need to access the MSM to keep up with events as there are numerous forums and blogs out there which are more on the ball than the papers. But then of course they are run by "internet bampots', aren't they? The number of respectable sports journalists in Scotland can be counted on the fingers of one hand and just by chance they happen to support clubs outside the Old Firm.

Armageddon isn't going to happen and the spoutings of a senile ex-Rangers manager and his former players who now seemingly ghost as bloggers at the Record are simply a waste of pixels on a computer screen (I can't honestly believe that humanity would cut down trees simply to print their garbage).

Remember the song "One day my prince will come" from "The Sleeping Beauty"? Well, change the title to "One day my time will come" and you have it just right. Yes, you, Keevins, and all of those Rangers apologists and historical revisionists. Your time is up!

Again, utterly staggering.

How on earth can Smith possibly be held up as someone who is objective and must therefore be listened to?

Simply staggering. I honestly wonder if some of those succulent guys are descending into something resembling mental illness.

Why don't you just say what you mean laugh.gif

Anyhoo - Keevin's article - I haven't got a clue what Smith actually said, Hugh hints at something to do with the League of Ireland and Scottish football being a mess but doesn't go into much detail - what I do know though is that after years of Walter taking absolute mince Walter should not be listened to, he should be ignored !

And I have nothing against Walter Smith, I actually quite like the guy but he doesn't half spout some misinformed pish from time to time - so I take umbridge at Keevin's declaring we should sit up and listen when he speaks !!

However - (yes I know what a mess of a post) he's right that Scottish football's a mess - it's just that folk have been shouting it from the rooftops for years whilst he was ignoring us !! and Scottish football will always be more League of Ireland than EPL ... it was folk like Smith striving for the latter that helped get us into this mess !

Is Chick Young dead ?

Not dead. He is is geting on the comeback trail. Trying to reinvent himself as an all round. popular good guy.

He was the subject of an article in the Scotsman http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/top-football-stories/interview-chick-young-football-commentator-and-broadcaster-1-2450083 which had PR written all over it. He isn't the odious (wee) creep everyone on here thinks he is. He has frends for goodness sake. :o

Why any newspaper, least of all the Scotsman want to write an article about Chic Young is beyond me? He even claims to be a Hearts supporter. "Hearts became my team".

Unless someone who was owed a favour by the Scotsman http://www.mediahouse.co.uk/whatwedo.htm ???

Aye Chic, is it crisis management time. Your jeckit is on a shoogly peg. You've been found out, and found wanting.

Just wait for the same article in the Kilmarnock Standard "Kilmarnock became my team". Or the P&J, "Aberdeen became my team".

Just get on your boat Chic, sail west and keep on going.

"Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels says there must be a

second tier of the Scottish Premier League established next season, with Rangers

playing in it as the Ibrox club should be competing against "professional

people" and not "part-timers such as Albion Rovers and

Stranraer".

Another Killie knob-end needs sorting. Apart from being a condescending p***k, the two teams he has mentioned are actually in the league above Sevco.

Sorry to the Killie fans (who have seen the bottom tier already), but I hope his club are next after coming out with shite like that.
