I don't get the renaming of a stadium to a sponsor. But I especially don't understand why Ashley would want his business associated with a toxic brand like The Rangers. Regardless of how much it cost him.

Easdale is championing Ashley as the clubs potential saviour and has invited him to underwrite a £4m share issue needed to stave off financial collapse.

In todays interview Easdale also confirms Ashley has been blocked from buying new shares as SFA rules prohibit him from owning more than 10 per cent of any Scottish club.

Is underwriting not, agreeing to buy all unsold shares?
