bennett
Laxey Partners now walk away....https://twitter.com/STVGrant/status/550245934593245185?s=09 According to Rico's mate Chris Graham they've been sold to a fan. We'll find out soon enough I suppose.
bennett
Come, come, MT. As a diehard can of the rainjurs, bennett simply wants to keep discussion on topic, rather than discuss who's in the Exit line from the dressing room or how many hooks Ashley now has in the club's assets. Yes Norman it's not as if me and monks haven't already been discussing those things...
GreenockRover
Dave King? Now that would stir up the shit! Take your pick really... The Three Bears ? Could be a purchase designed to give them position to buy in the reissue... KingCo ? Similair motive... Existing board members ? Increasing of percentage position in advance of potential dilution from New issue to retain control ? Laxey certainly stirred up the pot...
WeeHectorPar
Some guy in Normandy has bought them Chas and Dave?

First option is most likely I think. It will also give them a better negotiating position with regards to the offer they have supposedly made.

thenolly
I guess that's the 13 million shares traded this morning then? 13 million sold at 18p = £2.34 million compared to the 70p a share (£9.1 million) they were bought for, thats a massive loss to take, unless its re-coup what you can before the crash
Ross.
What percentage did Laxey hold? If they had 10m shares as I read elsewhere, about 12%. If it was 13m as seems to be reported on here here, then about 16%.

bennett
Easdales Easdale/Ashley apparently now hold 51% of the voting power between them. Meanwhile the Three Bears were snoozing and arguing as to who were sitting in their seats .... I hope that Philips log tradition of getting things wrong continues but i have to admit that it could be Ashley sticking two fingers up at the SFA...
gavin_3110
I've completely lost track of what's happening now, looking forward to see which shady character enters the stage next. Just put The Rangers out their misery, for their sake, for everyone's sake. It's gone on too long.
Ross.
Why buy shares then if it's going tits up? Speculation? Emotional attachment? Belief that if you have enough influence you can turn the company around? Planning a tax write off? Believe it or not, millions of pounds worth of shares are traded in companies who are pretty much basket cases every day, for a whole host of reasons. Normally though it's speculators or idiots.
WeeHectorPar
Why buy shares then if it's going tits up? Why buy a Season Ticket for Ibrox when it's going tits up? Rangers men.

No idea why someone paid more than the ask price (although that's now gone up to 20p from 19p.

Not unusual to pay a premium in those circumstances.
bennett
keith jackson @tedermeatballs 2m2 minutes ago Laxey's 16% shareholding in RIFC has been sold in the last half hour to the group of wealthy Rangers fans trying to force regime change. If Keith's got it right then that's good news, hopefully I'll soon be back at Ibrox. -

So they now have £2.6m less in cash available? Gives them more scope fore participation in the next rights issue, as well as more weight in negotiating any deal they want to do. Next move from Ashley will be interesting.
Ross. The man cannot help himself. He also tweeted at the same time saying that if it was the 3 bears then they've spent some of the money they had. Covering all eventualities there.
