Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

If there's one thing any faithful fan holds on to, it's the idea that no matter how much your team sucks now, it can get better in the future.

Unfortunately for Phoenix Suns fans, Robert Sarver's in the business of mortgaging the team's future every chance he gets.

Pleasing.

Tedi losing the plot again, superb.

I'm pretty sure he's well aware he's talking absolute nonsense and only does it in an attempt to be a WUM. We'll find out in a few months he's another snafu type and really supports Aberdeen.

ETA. This actually would make a lot of sense since it would explain how it is that Tedi knows so little about the club he "supports".

Ashley's playing a blinder here.

Is he really business partners with Sarver in the US?

Seen a few tweets and comments elsewhere suggesting this.

I thought that from the start. His five stars cock-up still makes me think he'd never even read a Rangers match report prior to joining P&B.

He owns 10%, you are acting like he has 100. A 10% shareholder will not be able liquidate anything just because he has had enough.

Ashley has not invested any money in Rangers, you are contradicting yourself in this post, all he has done is given a few loans that have to be repaid alongside stealing a shed load of retail money that the club badly needs.

Why does the club need money? The club is not a legal entity, has no personality, etc. How would it receive this money? Where woudl it keep it? How would it spend it? Something that doesn't exist in a tangible form cannot hold and utilise assets.

It's a sad state of affairs when you can count the Catholics your club has signed in it's 140yrs without removing your shoes and socks. .

RedRob72 wears shoes and socks? I thought there was nothing more that BRALT could teach me.

Think most of us remain sceptical Tedi, but just enjoying how pissed off the haters on here seem to be, that a wealthy investor might ( just might) have an interest in one of the world's most famous and successful football clubs.

How do you work that one out when your club is barely 3 years old...lol

You're missing the point that feeling the need to collate that information in the first place is beyond tragic and is utterly embarrassing.

I take it from that post, you don't know the history of Celtic ownership before Fergus took over?

I also like how you suggest it's normal practice for clubs to offer a manager a place on the board after he leaves, it wasn't as if Jock retired from football management when he left Celtic.

Go do some research hem come back to me, that's a.good boy.

Oh and the anti catholic policy at Rangers before Murray took over was very well documented. Please don't try and rewrite history to pretend it was all just a big misunderstanding

Had a wee swatch but couldn't find anything with regards to the C*ltic Board of any note before McCann's tenure but I'm all ears.

Found a couple of interesting old photos's though?

Would also be interested to see how or where Rangers anti RC policy is well documented, I haven't seen it recorded anywhere within the Club archives.

Fair point on former Managers (even one with Big Jock's record) not being invited to take a place on the board, but as a similar notion when did it become a practice to offer your greatest ever manager a job in the Pools office.

Cant recall that happening to Brian Clough at Forest, Shanks at Liverpool, Busby at Man Utd or Revie at Leeds, what an insult !!

Prior to the well documented first RC to sign for Rangers, Mo Johnstone....

Pat Lafferty (1886), Tom Dunbar (1891–1892), J Tutty (1899–1900), Archie Kyle (1904–1908), Willie Kivlichan (1906–1907), Colin Mainds (1906–1907), Tom Murray (1907–1908), William Brown (1912), Joe Donnachie (circa.1914–1918) John Jackson (1917). Laurie Blyth (1951–1952), Don Kitchenbrand (1955–1956), Hugh O'Neill (1976), John Spencer (1985–1992)

Now tell me how many 'Proddies' have been appointed to the all inclusive Celt*c board ? Even Big Jock, the most successful Celt*c Manager ever was resigned to running the f*ckin Pools office.

"Aye, but they're even pure wursur than we ur, by the way"

Its well documented in every decent book about Scottish football including plenty of ex Rangers players.Leaving aside your laughable list of players the FACT is this ..between. 1920 and 1986 for those 66 years Rangers never knowingly signed or hired a Catholic to play or work at Ibrox.

You couldn't have looked very hard if you can't find any information on who owned Celtic and the board prior to Fergus coming in. Try again

I can't take you serious if you're trying to suggest Rangers didn't have an anti catholic signing policy,

Yes, and in light of this policy, all the "decent Rangers fans" campaigned heavily to end this sort of discrimination.

Aye, I well remember those marches on Ibrox, the "Red card to discrimination" displays, the boycotting of media outlets....

Or am I getting mixed up here?

Well, Shankly retired from the game completely, Clough done the same and hsd known health problems, ANd Revie left to become England manager. Your point is irrelevant. And how msny 'Kaffliks' have served on a Rangers board??
