dave.j
Well this should be entertaining. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/rangers-celtic-both-given-21000-4949777? Shares in Buckie will go through the roof. Pity the game will get in the way of a bunch of fkwits releasing 3 years of pent up anger and hatred. Taza
Yes but from the SPFL's point of view why is Dave King allowed to hold over 10% in shares and a controlling interest when he is barred from being a director. He would be no different to Mike Ashley and someone, according to rules, who should not have control. King appointing directors or influencing matters in the boardroom is no different to MA, though for different reasons ... However there seems to be no request for him to appear and explain his actions as a currant shareholder (that is all Mike is) nor his actions previously in trying to destabilise the clumpany (corporate sabotage prior to availing himself of cheaper shares). Actually, did Charles Green not proclaim that ''no individual will ever again hold more than a 10% stake in the club''?

dave.j
Fruity King Stadium. http://www.winnersports.co.uk/gambling-company-sniffing-around-liverpool-fc-and-rangers-fc-stadium-naming-rights-96076 Reports from todays www.huffingtonpost.co.uk suggest an online gambling company named Fruity King who have recently been linked to several sponsorship deals are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to break into British football and are now expressing an interest in stadium naming rights for Liverpool FC and Rangers FC. Talks are live with a number of bodies, including the SPFL. Talks are live with big clubs, were working tirelessly behind the scenes. It could be anything; we could even rename the Main stand at Anfield. It appears nothing is out of bounds with the company also bullishly proclaiming; We are interested in stadium naming rights, shirt sponsorship deals and football league rights packages. We might even buy a football club Early this week it was announced that Fruity King a mobile casino gaming site is in talks with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) regarding a £1.75m sponsorship deal. They quoted us a figure for the rights of all four leagues, explained the companys commercial director, a statement that confirmed the companys intention to become an integral part of the Scottish footballing landscape. Discussions with the SPFL are said to be ongoing and are set to continue early in 2015 There is a real opportunity for those clubs who have not yet made the leap of faith to re-name their stadium, there is untapped revenue. Their commercial director said: I am not concerned about the fans reaction. This is purely from a commercial aspect Using Rangers Ibrox Stadium as the example he continues, they can still call it Ibrox if they prefer. This is nothing new in the sports franchise world. This has been going on for over a decade in the USA. He continued, Look at the deal between The New Orleans Pelicans and Smoothie King. It was renamed The Smoothie King Center (originally New Orleans Arena) in 2014. RedRob72
Erm, have u ever actually met a The Rangers fan in real life? Because most of the ones I've met down the years it's their defining feature! You need to get out more mate if that's the case, bring your carer with you!
Karpaty
So if Rangers go bust on Monday without investment, why are they rejecting £20m offers? More so from an invester from abroad with no connection to the club. Who exactly do these goons want? Roll on Monday so they get finished off.
Septentrional Wasp
What is it with Celtic fans and smilies? I think it`s just an easy way for them to express how much they`re "enjoying the journey!"
RedRob72
Blue tinted specs or wagon circling type post ^^^^^ How are you going to spend your time Dheny if we (Rangers FC) get through this? Will you have to change hands? (and your crusty socks perhaps)

kildog
You need to get out more mate if that's the case, bring your carer with you!Every rangers fan I've ever met is a bigot. Fact.
BradHorse
Rangers FC? who are they? ... If THE Rangers (aka Sevco, The Pretenders, Clone Rangers, Zombie FC,) get through this coming week, there will still be plenty of laughs ahead. When did Rangers start having a 'The' in front of 'Rangers', do you know?
BradHorse
Every rangers fan I've ever met is a bigot. Fact. You've said 'fact' after it so I presume that's a true circumstance in your case. Sad to hear but just to let you know, not everyone who supports Rangers is a bigot. Some people are ashamed of the bigoted aspect of our fans.

Tedi Accuse someone of making shit up. Get exposed for making shit up. You could not make Tedi up.
Monkey Tennis
Who'd have thought The Big Thread would be populated by so many fans of 19th C romantic novels? I've never doubted it. Your typical 'new club' debate on here, reads like a tiff between a couple of Bronte sisters.
WeeHectorPar
Do the SFA have any such agreement with DK? Is there any rule stopping DK from owning more than 10%? If this all goes to plan and DK and T3B get control who will be running the company and how would they fail a fit and proper person test? Doesn't King hold shares in another Scottish clumpany which is in the process of being liquidated?
