CityDave
Who did Leeds United 2007 Ltd buy? Their way out - by paying creditors, withstanding pressure from the HMRC and correct and legal transfer of assets. How did Rangers get on there?.

mythstoliveby
All these sneaky terms from their fans like "54 and counting", "relegated", "when we're back", "what about leeds".... With a mentality like that it's no wonder that Green knew his sneaky newco/oldclub fudge would fly - he simply tapped into their snide psyche.
dave.j
Show The Red Card To Liquidation!Anti-Liquidation Demo On Saturday! On Saturday versus St Mirren 50,000 Bears will show that Rangers will not die by giving a red card to the threat of liquidation. At kick off and in the 18th and 72nd minutes - 1872! - raise your red card and voice your determination not to support anyone who is trying to drag the club down into liquidation. On Monday evening a meeting took place in Glasgow with host of fan groups to discuss the Bears fight-back against those who seek to do the club down. Rangers Football Club have survived the good and the bad for 140 years , the vast majority being very successful for a club now known to be the most successful club in world football. Its more than just a club, it’s a way of life for far too many people the world over to simply give it up to faceless money men with no love nor interest in this famous fitbaw club. It was agreed unanimously that we The Rangers support would fight tooth and nail against anyone or group who seek to liquidate the Gers. The message is simple, sink us and we will sink you ! You won’t simply reform a newco and everything’s bright and rosy, not a chance in hell. The Rangers fan base united won’t allow it, no fans, no players, no sponsor. NOTHING This Saturday we have arranged to allow every fan in Ibrox to show the administrators and any would-be liquidators the “red card”. 50,000 red cards will form part of display in protest at the enemy intent on finishing off The Rangers as we know it. Message banners and red cards will make our feelings clear as day, you are not welcome. The display is NOT in favour of any individual bid/bidders, we simply welcome anyone with Rangers best interest at heart. Feel free to bring your own message banners, we all know the rules ! The display will be set up on Thursday and Friday night , ALL Rangers fans are welcome to help set it up. To arrange help please email sie1872@googlemail.com It’s our club, it was our fathers club and it will be the club of our children! The Rangers FC forever! It’s all about The Rangers! 49999 is a more accurate figure as Tedi says he didn't hold up a red card, whilst everyone around him did. Strangely he doesn't recall what his feelings were at this time, or why he didn't turn round to a single ber, and say..... hold up guys, the club created a company all those years ago, it's separate from the club, the club can't be liquidated. You would think, with that sort of vital information, you'd at least share it with the 49999 tear n snotter stained berz, worried their club was going to be liquidated!
mythstoliveby
Nice one dave,j I love the way rangers fans (and plenty of ex-players and ex-managers and journos) all did a sharp U-turn when liquidation actually happened. It was incredible how they all suddenly changed tune on liquidation. But then they had to, didn't they? They had no choice. Embracing the "liquidation is not the end" line was pretty desperate - but drowning rats will bite on anything.

dave.j
Rangers Fans Fighting Fund On the 14th of February 2012 our proud football club found themselves in a dire situation, we had entered the dreaded administration feared by all connected to Rangers... In the following days it became clear that our 140 year history was at serious risk via the potential of liquidation.... The Fund has been set up for supporters to make cash donations that will directly affect the Club now and will go a long way towards helping secure its future. Be assured, it has been agreed, with all parties, that not one penny of this fund will go to the current owners or the administrators, every single penny will go to the daily running costs of Rangers Football Club. The committee that had been put in place headed by Sandy Jardine and a number of chosen individuals who represent the fan base chosen by the supporters groups present at the meeting at the Ibrox Suite on Saturday 10th March 2012 . The Fund (fully endorsed by the three major fan groups - the Association, the Assembly and the Trust) is working with others to ensure that the club is put back on its feet with stable finances. Without immediate help the club were at a far higher risk of going into liquidation. Our one and only goal was the ongoing survival of our beloved club ensuring the 140 year timeline is maintained. With great thanks to the rangers family fanbase we achieved our goals in safeguarding many aspects important to us all. As of the 21st of January 2015 the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund holds funds of £516,984.99 which is located in the Rangers Assembly Bank Account. So, hands up, how many of you daft berz gave money to save the CLUB? -

mythstoliveby
No Dhense, that is you too lazy to read back a few posts Yes, all this deliberate confabulation around company has my head spinning! The CVA failed....the entity known as Leeds utd was sold to a newco, this was ratified by FA and the company that was classed as a football club was liquidated, the newco were given the licence that the oldco had and they were allowed to stay in the same division. How did Rangers get on? exactly the same apart from the decision of staying in the same division was put to vote. "The company that was classed as a football club was liquidated" - is that a result of your head spinning too? If not then don't let bennett or forever_blue read your post - especially if you are trying to make out Leeds and Rangers are the same!!!

And yep Sevco Scotland received the old club's membership from the SFA, but then governing bodies are not immune to fraudulent lies.
