Ludo*1
I was dealing only in fact. This is completely wrong. That's not opinion. Just wrong. It is an exaggeration. In general terms, however, I do agree with his point. ST is quite critical of some 'classics' and just pawns them off. He is more than entitled to do so though as it adds debate and his personal opinion to the thread.
the jambo-rocker
Monsters Vs Aliens 6/10 enjoyable enough movie, but nowhere near on par with their other dreamworks movies. I've rang this bell countless times, but there's a difference between a person saying that they don't like a film and a person saying a film's shit. I don't like Citizen Kane - can't stand it, in fact - but I'd never try and claim that it's not a brilliant film.
Cowden til i die
Seven Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and if thats not enough Kevin Spacey pops up towards the end. Another perfectly predictable film but good all the same. You knew the ending was going to end in that sort of direction but i enjoyed the parts leading up to it. All of this happens on Freemans last week of work ect the usual tripe but you do genuinely feel for Pitt at the end(in the movie sense). 7.5/10 extra 0.5 for scenes of gore. Nick_BCFC
The Informers - What the f**k? I nicked a few dvds out my housemates room looking for a porno and I found this. I decided i'd watch it anyway and didn't have a clue what was going on for ages. I guess it might have been a bit better if i'd realised before the film started it was about several peoples different week or something.

RayBees
The Men Who Stare At Goats What a mess. A poor attempt to string together a pointless plot out of a book that, whilst having funny moments, could never have been turned into a film. They've got Jeff Bridges doing his Big Lebowski thing and George Clooney doing his O Brother Where Art Thou thing and Ewan MacGregor in for some Star Wars jokes and it just doesn't work. I'm giving it 3 marks because there were about 3 funny moments. 3/10
RayBees
Funny People.Good comedic actors in this film & a plot that could have been very clever. However, the film just wasn't as good as it should have been and was boring at times. 4/10 Was about an hour too long. You're right though, it could've been a lot better.
Swarley
New Moon - pish (meh pick a random number) 3/10! I haven't seen the first film, not read any of the books which probably didn't help but it was a last minute invite to a corporate event and I wasn't going to turn down free booze and nibbles! Utter crap, if you aren't a teenager and a female then don't bother. Must be the only vampire related film I've seen where the only blood on show was from a paper cut!
DomDom
Axe ( 2005 ) This is a good example of a movie maker trying to do many things in a short space of time. I didn't get the weird shooting of the murders, nor did I get why so many subplots were just completely ignored, or if they were brought up, they were sorted out in a couple of minutes. Not as hilariously bad as Pieces, and was actually good fun at times. The guy that played Guy needed more time on screen. 5/10
AsdaLoyal
Watched Dude Wheres My Car for the first time in ages , although it is really stupid it is still one of funniest movies ive seen. 8/10
the jambo-rocker
Bruno 3/10 The only things i found remotely funny about this was when he was playing on the stupidity of americans. Everything else is was horrid.
Shengus Khan
Infernal Affairs (part 1) 9/10 - Absolutely brilliant film. I'll stick on part 2 the night instead of watching Wogan.
SaltyTON
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) This was horrific, up until the dinner scene when it became hilarious. Mila Kunis is a million times hotter than Kristin Bell! Russell Brand in this is brilliant. 7/10 EDIT: Nothing Compares 2 U in Hawaiian at the end of the credits was a nice touch as well. DomDom
Hannibal Rising ( 2007 ) Turns out all of the warnings I got about this movie were right. Not even the incredibly low expectations could warn me of the shite I was about to endure. Gaspard Ulliel is an absolutely horrific Lecter. It almost feels as if I'm watching a completely different character, and the only real redeeming point is Dominic "McNulty" West. They could have done this much better, and I don't think the ideas behind what made Lecter what he would become are that bad at all. It's just that it's a horrible movie. 1/10
Satans_Husband
A Serious Man I'd agree with the claims that the Coens have gone less commercial again and that fans of Burn After Reading will be disappointed. But I don't think they'll be too disappointed. I thought it was highly enjoyable and appreciated the bleak 'what's the point in anything' approach to the story. Beautifully shot with some very memorable characters - especially Sye Ableman. I'll need to think it over for a while but it's probably a 8/10

killiepiemuncher
Commando - 5/10 Watched big Arnie shoot 'em up last night for the first time in about 10 years. Woah what a body count, he shot at any thing that moved. I think I enjoyed it more the last time I watched it, it was so dated and hammy.
