the jambo-rocker
How can you be that precise with the scoring. It just started when I didn't think I could class a film between 5/10 and 6/10. Became a bit of habit ever since
coldojag
The Rock, last week on the TV. My mate insisted we watch this, we had a carry out and it was hilarious at times. First time I've enjoyed watching a film in ages. Sean Connery is fantastic. Cage:"you enjoying this?" Connery: "Well, it's certainly more enjoyable than my average day... reading philosophy, avoiding gang rape in the washrooms... though, it's less of a problem these days. Maybe I'm losing my sex appeal." Based on how much I laughed - 8/10
stimpy
Toy story 3, almost had me in tears twice, very funny in bits and moving in others. The only downside was my brother in law and wife wanting to see it in 3D, an absolute waste of time, it gives the background depth but who really gives a f**k, 2D all the way for me from now on in. 7/10

Going to see it again tomorrow with family, so will be happy to see it again .
Clyde4life
Seem 2 films this week. Toy Story 3 - Watched in in 2d at cinema with my two boys. Loved it - possibly the best of the three, everything you want in a film and a film for everybody. 9/10 - only as i seen in in 2d. A Team Very pleasantly surpised at just how good this was. Sure you can mock Leesan's attempt at an American accent, and the relationship between B.A and Murdoch is far more friendly than in the tv series, but it just grabs you from the start and rarely stops. Big plusses to the guy from Watchmen for being the baddie, but also providing a lot of laughs - the scene in the car when he thinks he has just blown up the A-Team - "Wow that was awesome, looked just like Call of Duty" had me in stitches. again a 9/10 - mainly as i have just finished watching it, and i genuinely didnt think it would be that good!

jojo
The departed. Fantastic film, great plot, great people in it (di caprio, Jack nicholson, matt damon), great directer, terrific acting (especially di caprio), awsome ending.
SaltyTON
The Incredible Torture Show (1976) AKA Blood Sucking Freaks Okay, it's a B-movie cult, okay it's extreme and it attempts to be seriously fucked up, but far me it was way too passé. It tried its hardest to shock and disgust the audience, but really all it did was make me laugh at its feeble efforts. It was almost at the so bad, that it's good, level... but was too camp at times to manage it. It's classed as a horror, but it was more of an S&M softcore porn film than that, as any horror was so badly done it just made you chortle at the ridiculous over-the-top torture. I have this saved as a 'Blood Sucking Freaks', so was expecting a vampire film, and the start made it seem like it was going to be like that... but that all fell apart fairly quickly... including scenes of the master and a black midget playing darts on a naked woman's arse and cutting off a couple of naked women's fingers to use as chips in a leisurely game of Backgammon. Just truly mince, but the fact that it managed to get banned in so many countries gets it a few sympathy points. 3/10
Shuggie_Murray7
For A Few Dollars More (1965) It's the man with no name.....what more do you need? It's slightly better than A Fist Full of Dollars and not quite as good as The Good The Bad And The Ugly in the Dollars trilogy. EDIT: The scene with the hats is fantastic. 8.5/10 Edited July 25, 2010 by Shuggie_Murray7
monkeyblair
Toy Story 3 in 2D. I would give this 9/10, brilliant all the way through with a bit of emotion at the end. I also thought the film at the start (Day & Night) was very clever.
Pol
Toy Story 3 (2D) What a truly awesome film from start to finish! I went on opening night with my pal (I think this may be the only exception to ever seeing a film on opening night with a pal without it being 100% homosexual!!) and I've never seen Cineworld so busy! Cant believe how close to tears I was at the end though - twice!!! The last line of the film sums up the whole trilogy. What a fantastic trilogy Toy Story has been - with the second film being as good as the first and the third film being as good as the second. The only thing I disliked about Toy Story was them leaving out some characters however it made way for older characters like the Aliens to really take the spotlight. Toy Story 3 gets 10 out of 10 from me because the original Toy Story was the film of my childhood (along with the Lion King) and even 15 years later, I feel Disney Pixar has done it justice. 10/10!!! Edit: Going to see Toy Story 3 in 3D tonight and The Karate Kid on Monday night. Edited July 25, 2010 by Pol

SaltyTON
Killer Movie (2008) I was expecting a typical shit '[insert word here] movie', a la Scary Movie, Superhero Movie and the like, but was surprised when I got a watchable teen slasher. It's listed as a comedy on IMDb, but I think that's it just covering some bases as it doesn't spoof anything in particular. Some of the deaths were pretty funny, and outrageously clichéd, but all in all it was a decent wee 6/10 effort. Bonus point as it had Kaley Cuoco in it, I can't think of a better reason to give a film an extra point! 7/10
the jambo-rocker
Had a big of mega-movie watching session this weekend so i'll keep them brief Sherlock Holmes 73% Downey Jr. does a very good job of taking on the new holmes and law actually wasnt that bad either as watson. Not a bad plot, fairly enjoyable film. Edge of Darkness 57% Gibson does decent enough in a film that to me just whispers 'mad max with a pension'. 12 Angry Men 82% I really enjoyed this film, brilliantly scripted, brilliantly acted. Would recommend this to anyone. Syriana 41% Was a bit too slow for my liking. The morals were clear enough but plot could have been clearer, but the film had so much needless stuff going on in the first hour that could have been skipped, and found it difficult to follow at times. It was the ending was what saved the film for me, as it came out of nowhere, shocking and yet at the same time brilliant. Couples Retreat 37% Crap, boring, predictable. I think Vaughan's character and his wife were the only people that tried to carry the story but were let down by everyone else. The films tries too hard to funny, and in the end was just plain shite. Made of Honour 21% Tacky, predictable, retarded and recycled pish. 'Guy and girl are long time best buds, but yet they are so meant to be!' f**k off with that cliche and f**k off for wasting a hour and a half of my life.
Growl3th
Watched "The Wave" last night on either Beeb 3 or 4. Looked interestingfrom the blurb but then I saw it was in German with subtitles. Almost turned it off but I'm so glad I didn't. 9.5/10
DomDom
Kick Ass ( 2010 ) Absolutely fucking brilliant. Some of the scenes are out of this world and I was almost jumping for joy at one part. I'm trying to think of some way this doesn't get the perfect score, but I can't. Unreal. 10/10
the jambo-rocker
I love you man 42% Meh, cant say i found it that funny. Watchable on a good day at best.
Mik
12 Angry Men 82% I really enjoyed this film, brilliantly scripted, brilliantly acted. Would recommend this to anyone. fantastic film! Didn't plan on watching it but it was on one Saturday afternoon and I was glued to the TV... I was meant to be going out that night to the pub but ended up being late because i got into the film . Thoroughly enjoyed it 9/10 for me.
Thundermonkey
Clash of the Titans (the original one) - 7/10 It's suffered over time I think. However, it gets it's points for the Ray Harryhausen creatures. Medusa is obviously a model yet still as horrid as it was when I was a boy. Plenty of room for improvement. Having said that, I'm still avoiding the remake like the plague.
