forameus Posted April 10, 2023 Share Posted April 10, 2023 It seems so easy for them to make a draft episode that actually works, but in recent years they've been consistently shite. This is a country that fucking loves the concept, and the real sports put massive pomp and circumstance around what is essentially bartering young sportsmen. I doubt anyone except the most hardcore fans could tell you which show just about anybody is supposed to be on right now. djchapsticks Posted June 17, 2023 Share Posted June 17, 2023 (edited) What a fucking moment! Been saying since the Rumble that this entire arc is Jey's story, not Sami's. Jey's been a torn character all through it, keep Roman happy as he was terrified of what he could do and what he was capable of and he's been that since Roman battered the shit out of him and then Jimmy a few years back. Guy is 100% top level talent. The story gets a lot of love as it is hugely unfamiliar for WWE to invest in such long term storytelling and to nail it so well. Almost everything they've done throughout the Bloodline story arc has made sense and everyone involved has played their part as you'd expect them to and developed in ways that make sense. I wish they had held off just a couple of weeks more and did that at MITB. The roof would have clean lifted off the place. Pull the trigger at Summerslam. You even have the perfect long term redemption for Reigns to turn back face with Heyman being the big bad all along... the guy who has manipulated and poisoned his mind and has worked him like a puppet for years without Reigns even realising it. Reigns needs to be delighted with how it's all panned out as well. He's taken his two family members right up the card with him, immensely talented wrestlers in their own right but just seen as 'the twins' and always would be. His work has elevated both of them to upper mid/main event level both as a tag team and as individuals and helped both develop a distinct identity.
