Walking Down The Halbeath Road

If Connolly leaves then I'd maybe take Ratboy as a replacement. Unless he's finished, which he may be after hanging about the seaside league for umpteen seasons.

'Ratboy' what a deliberate and distinctly horrible description of a footballer when it's completely unnecessary. How much do you charge to haunt a house?

Falkingham is never going to be a player that's going to take on a player and play in a cross, he's a centre mid. You would never play Connolly in the middle of a 2 man midfield and if you tried to play Falkingham as the wide man in a midfield he'd play w**k and you'd inevitably end up 7th in the Third tier. Been there and tried it. There really is a big difference between them, the only similarity is that they're small.

The way you're talking about Connolly as a winger would suggest you never saw him play for us.

Connolly is a great wee creative player, but he does a lot of his good work centrally. He possibly could be the guy to take in a player and get in a cross, but that wasn't really how we played him.

Falkingham's a decent player - Ratboy jibes aside - so I'd be reasonably happy of he ended up at Starks, no matter where he was played.

Just shows what the sensible fans knew, i.e. that the management team have been working for a while to get players. This is probably why certain players haven't been offered contracts but haven't said they're leaving whilst some players have left, i.e. if we can't get certain targets the management are talking to or then they may go back and offer some current players a new contract, or they may plan to offer a current player a contract but find that they want to up one or two offers to a new player so can't afford to offer the current player a contract.

Nat :(

Nat is a solid signing for the Championship.  Think at times he tried to be too elaborate when he had the ball but it a good defender.  Didn't do well at Inverness but reckon championship is his level.  That's a good signing for the Pars.

He was exceptionally slow in the games he played for us and just didn't look fit enough for the top league. Some neat and tidy passing kept play ticking over nicely most of the time but he was also clumsy at times and simply wasn't better than the midfielders we already had at the club. Think he played in defence on the odd occasion and was okay but that was the issue - he was always okay at best and was never going to get a game ahead of the likes of Warren or Draper. Made sense for him to move on.

"Mr Spence, your punishment for your actions on the team holiday in Magaluf is to receive one terrible haircut."
