Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Aye I also was taken aback. Either way, that's fucked up bringing the Eriksen thing into it. Fucking slavering old c**t, he'll probably put the blame for the loss against Arbroath on Martin.

It’s why he’s popular with the press because he talks so much and is never far away from a moronic comment.

Would be seen as more of a harmless quirk if we start winning most weeks ofc.

Has that been made public before? It’s a serious thing to just chat about in a press conference and I’d never heard that Martin had heart problems before.

I also thought the issue with Eriksen was his heart stopped. Kinda scary to compare the two.

I have no idea what kept him out so long but surely it must be heart related or his heart has changed in some way for the manager to start talking about it in public.

If Martin has had some kind of heart attack and that's what's kept him out so long then firstly thank god he's alive and been given the go ahead to play again and secondly I really hope Grant got his permission to mentor him and his recovery in the same breath at Erickson as if it's not heart related in as serious a way as Erickson then it's a truly bizarre comment to make.

I just think it’s grant being a slavering c**t.

Sport scientist or doctor l probably mentioned something off the cuff about monitoring heart rate and grants just repeating that though the filter of shite that comes out his mouth.

Why would the club publish it word for word if he’s just talking shite though?

If he’s havering then you leave it out of the quotes and quietly ask the papers to not run those specific lines.

You think our press is that sophisticated?

It’s basic PR to have someone sit in on a manager’s press conference.

Although I suppose this is like when I suggested Stephen Robinson for the manager’s job and everyone reminded me The Pars are an absolute diddy club.

You seen some of the shite that ends up on our official site? Don't think the person knows what proofreading and the spellchecker is.

It's such a weird piece because it sounds like he's talking about doing extra checks to make sure his physical and mental wellbeing is okay after being out for so long which is totally understandable, but you'd expect he'd be getting an MOT anyway being a professional footballer and all that. But then saying the recovery isn't a normal one is definitely odd and certainly gives the impression Lewis may have been out due to a heart problem. Fingers crossed that isn't the case. Then the final sentence is back to it sounding like a regular injury again.

“We don’t know if someone has changed mentally or physically, maybe your heart rate changes in that period of time. You just need to be very careful.

“Look at the case of Christian Eriksen when his heart rate got too quick — that’s just an example of why you must monitor everything the players do and make sure you are doing the right things, based on how they are responding to every type of training.”

After such a long period of time out, this isn’t like recuperation from a hamstring or even a nine-month ACL injury and it is probable that it needs even more careful managing. The manager continued is update on the 25 year old:-

“I have no doubt that he will come in after training and feel sore because we are working him harder than he has for a long time. And he’ll be wondering if that is normal or whether it’s a sign he isn’t 100 per cent.

I’m sorry but Dunfermline’s current and new owners need to sit around the table tonight, come to terms with a mistake they’ve made, hold their hands up and change this. Fans have already lost interest and not going to the games and that’s after a year of sitting in the house. Waken the f*ck up.
