Wonder who McPake is targeting whether we'll see some wingers coming in over the next month, or if he's got something else in mind.

Hearing rumours about McGowan, would be an excellent signing. IMO.

Lewis Martin rumoured for Kelty. What's the thoughts here on him?

Pre injury, strolled Championship football.

Post injury, jury still out. Needs a solid pre season. Can play anywhere across the back 4 but I think he's best at left back.

Thistle fans sort of said the same about Tam Oware after injury and turned out to be a brilliant signing , anywhere near that and take him in a heartbeat

He’s been injured about 70% of his career. That’s why he has so few appearances at 26 years old. Seemed to peak in 2019/20 before covid hit. Was a regular at left back at the start of the season, then moved to CB. Was a decent championship defender in both positions.

However, he’s only started 5 games in 2 and a half years and was missing from the match day squads towards the end of the season again due to injury - until he was thrown in out of nowhere for the playoff final second leg. Part time might suit him better, given his fitness issues. It doesn’t seem like his body can cope with full time training.

This isn’t someone coming back from an injury, this is a player who has had several long term injuries/illnesses over the last 6/7 years. Having said that, if he is fully fit, he will be a very good player for you (if he does sign).

Weatherspoons likely to win that comfortably, but if the criteria was expanded slightly to be places where you actually want to go they’d be disqualified.

Between the big chains and adamson seemingly being involved somehow in 90% of the other pubs there’s not exactly a lot of room for competition in the town.

On Martin,  a very good top end championship player on his day,  a decent championship player most games he plays.  Talented, hardworking but desperately unlucky with fitness.  Whoever he plays for will be delighted with his performances, they just need to get him on the pitch often enough.

Regarding cheapest pint, it also depends on what pubs have on tap. Was in the Creepy before the Queen's Park home leg for one and they had Staropramen, which was not cheap. Old Inn had Innis and Gunn IPA which was a bit cheaper but still pricey.

Was in the Lizzie before the QOTS game and their prices are just silly.
