I'd be hoping for 9000 and hopefully a big contingent over from Germany. Strangely there seems to be a lot of Celtic interest.

I think that could be the case, be really interesting to see how many of their fans travel over, have they ever played in Scotland before? Yeah I noticed that, not sure what the connection is. Anything to do with both them and Hamburger SV being from Hamburg, with the former having some sort of connection with Rangers?

Not sure what affiliation came first but Hamburger SV and Rangers have a love in, and Celtic and St. Pauli have 1 too. Presumably 1 side of Glasgow supporting 1 side of Hamburg just because their city rivals support the other.

Must've been typing at the same time, think that might be the case, happy to be proven wrong if anyone else knows?

I've seen St Pauli with a banner congratulating Celtic on winning a league title. Pretty sure there's been a connection for a while.

Rangers and Hamburg is more recent. Enemy of my enemy sort of thing.  Plus the fact that one of the clubs is only 10 years old.

Regardless, we could still do without this getting hijacked by a bunch of Celtic supporters.

I done a tour of the St Pauli stadium a couple of years back and they have Celtic gear in the club shop, half and half scarfs.

I found the Rangers - Hamburg love in strange, the city was flattened during WW2 with half the residents killed during a firebombing raid I'm sure. For Hamburg to then become best pals with Brexit FC is just odd.

Celtic see themselves as that too (yes, I know, they are pure establishment but you know Celtic fans)?

The very same Celtic that droves of people from all over the country go to associate with, for erm reasons.

If you believe in social change and football being a vehicle for that, your local club is the best place for that. Dunfermline have done more for the communities in West Fife than Celtic will ever manage. Whilst I'm sure not all the Celtic fans in Dunfermline follow the team for political reasons I'm sure a few do.

I look forward to welcoming St Pauli to our city and hope the management of the football club can learn from St Pauli's management off the field.

Pars hosting St Pauli will mean hundreds of plastic Irishman (Celtic fans) visiting our City. Those who believe they're left wing political hipsters having St Pauli as their other team.

There will also be loads of other UK based social misfits attending. Those who play Dungeons & Dragons online and support a trendy St Pauli thinking it loads them up with cool vouchers.

That Victorian freak show aside, I hope we get loads of German based fans over for the game.

They strike me as being a German version of Partick Thistle.

Also brown strips are a nonsense.

f**k SV Hamburg and their stupid, irrelevant clock.

Also they were the first team at such a level I've absolutely detested watching when they played Dusseldorf last season. An utterly horrible side to watch.

Anyway can't wait to hear what other events are on the go, might even fly back for this.

This is how it started for me also around 2008. Went back last Nov and stayed in the Sternschanze area next to St Pauli - recommend.

I know it’s unlikely and probably won’t happen, but I noticed we’re forecast for heavy snow on 7th March. Mad that the referees and officials helping us to the title have now managed to arrange for bad weather so that we can continue to avoid Falkirk out of complete fear.8B11BFAA-FF40-4F32-87F8-F26490AEF41F.thumb.png.595b121217c5e333fd622a25c90707fa.png

If you do go on to win the league it won’t be because you have signed a middle aged ned.

🤣

Nah, it will be because the team we have had is better than anything else in the league anyway.

McGowan will be the key to unlock stubborn defences we have been struggling against of late. A league-winning signing, and I’m all for the tear-stained seethe from the Falkirk fans. Beautiful.

If Celtic fans and the champagne socialist hipsters want to go to EEP for the St Pauli game and pay our club their money, they can batter in. We can make a fortune from this match.

A return leg in Hamburg would be fucking delicious as well.
