You wonder why a company desperate for people to buy its new game have a terrible network just weeks before it's new release? Absolutely everything I tried was no use, slide tackles/block tackles were missing, getting severely outpaced, shots with very little power creeping past the keeper. It worked really well because he didn't get into my box at all really, while I scored 2 goals through great counterattacking. Of course, I didn't win; that would be too simple. I needed a victory to secure promotion to division 1. I was drawing 1-1 until the 80th minute when I scored. Then on the 90th minute I (thought) I had secured the victory with another goal to make it 3-1, cue me celebrating a lot. Then just as he was about to take kick off. The game froze. I thought he had rage quitted so I was pissing myself laughing and having a great time. But then it popped up on my screen that I had to sign in again as I wasn't connected to the EA servers. I signed in again to see if maybe id been awarded the result. Nope. 3-0 defeat. I threw my controller against the wall, managed to smash the bottom of the controller. It happened to me a few weeks ago and after some fucking about with EA customers services chat and a phone call and emailing screen shots of transactions, I was credited with the points. Well its happened again and after doing that all again they've decided to "escalate" my case on to their specialist team, this was three days ago. I've contacted them since and they just tell me to wait. Fucking annoying as f**k tbh. Small clubs with all the skill, dribbling, passing & ball retention of Barcelona. Meanwhile your teammates are utter gash, terrible passing, wasteful possession and the worst thing; when the full-backs get the ball in their half, as soon as an ounce of pressure is put on them by an opposition player they punt the ball into row z and give the other team a throw in. I've spent a while trying to build up as good a Bundesliga team as I can get without having the really top players (Reus, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Neuer etc) so managed an 81 rated team with 100 chemistry, and it all clicked together nicely. I thought the whole point of the game was to get as good a team as you can get, but thanks to FIFAs wonderful matchmaking rules, I see there's absolutely no point in doing that. In the past few days I've come up against teams who have either had dreadful chemistry (playing players well out of position) or a low rating (playing bronze players at full back etc). Now I'm not saying I should automatically win, but I do expect my team to be capable of playing to the same standard from one game to another. If the opposition has a much lower rating, I expect to play better than them. If they have a much lower chemistry value, I expect them to play worse. But no. EA would rather handicap players. These "weaker" teams regularly beat me or scrape draws through my players inexplicably playing long suicide passes instead of the short free option, and other handicap issues. To top it off, my last game last night came against an 86 rated La Liga team - he had most of the Barca squad, including Messi, Suarez and Neymar, and I'd say the only really highly rated player he was missing was Ronaldo. He went ahead early on thanks to a debatable penalty, but then I absolutely outplayed him from then on, right up until the 90th minute when he got another debatable penalty and equalised to make it 2-2. With my full squad my team is 89 rated, and I only seem to get the best out of my players when playing an 84+ rated team. Using a full bronze bench, brings my team to 82 rated and I win most games very comfortably. I'm not arguing it doesnt happen cos as like people say one game your team play like the well oiled machine you've built them to be. Handicapping definitely exists, there is absolutely no denying that, but im not convinced its based on the above two criteria. It's not consistent enough for that to be true. I wish they'd take it out though. Someone said its to keep the casual players happy. I'm a casual player (4-5 hours a week usually), and it pisses me off. I can't imagine anyone is that poor at the game that they need such extensive help. I can guarantee that the defeats are coming. And vice versa so you play close to the 10 games.
