Same with Rousey, it's always just a marketing machine. No one is superhuman and everyone is beatable. McGregor always had holes in his game that he hadn't been tested on since his cage warriors days, and tonight he was.

UFC 200 just took a turn for the worst no doubt, Poor UFC.

Get it right up the Celtic fans who seem to idolise this c**t.

This is all I have to add, carry on.

This is one a postive of the result. I'm fine with casual fans tuning in just for McGregor, but the plastic paddy neds that fill Facebook when he fights are a pain. Be nice to see them vanish for a wee bit.

Good to see McGregor take the defeat pretty well.

He was always going to. Behind all the selling of the fight stuff he does you can tell he views himself firstly as a martial artist, and always has respect for his opponent when he's beaten them even if he's smack talked the face off of him beforehand.

In saying that though, if you're as cocky as he is then the only option you really have when you lose is to be humble.

If it's 145 then it should be Frankie Edgar. When exactly is Aldo talking about McGregor running from him? Aldo pulled out of the first fight, lost the 2nd fight in 13 seconds and then rejected the chance to fight him again 2 weeks ago.

Think MacGregor bit off more than he could chew, by jumping the two divisions, as, even though a lightweight, Diaz would be coming in at close on his natural weight.

The rate they were fighting at, it was never going to go 5, just a case of who'd outlast the other.

Nate Diaz pleasing. Didn't think McGregor was his usual cocky self in the ring.

He was. It was the most brazen he's ever fought which is why he lost. Keeping his hands down pretty much the whole fight against a guy with longer reach who is a terrific, accurate striker? He doesn't have raw power behind the punches but McGregor basically put his chin up again Nate's and lost resoundingly.

I'm happy for Nate, think it was Dom Dom that said this was much bigger for his career than it was for Conor.

Bit harsh, the guy just jumped two weight classes against a good striker and well respected submission artist.

Certainly sloppy from McGregor, didn't control the distance well and missed with no setup wild lefts over and over again. Absolutely beautiful left from Diaz to rock McGregor, could see he was close to going from there in.

Freeroll fight for Connor, hopefully that puts talk of welterweight firmly to bed.

Yeah, was the cockiest and least gampeplanny he's been. Felt like he was treating it like a poker freeroll.
