It pains me to say this but are Sevco not 20 points clear?

I suppose "back fired" is not the right words. Clearly they have massive resources in comparison to other teams in the same league, but have the "blue ribbon" signings really added anything more considering the wages they are being paid. I'm guessing they were bought with a mind on the cups but that's not worked out too well so far.

TJE saying on Twitter that he has heard Fitzpatrick has been released as well.

Same person who phoned me about Tokely said Fitzpatrick has been told to find a new club but I don't think he's been released yet.

TJE is also saying we have signed a Serbian left-back.

Feel quite bad for Fitzpatrick going from being a guaranteed starter to potentially being unemployed in the space of a few weeks.

I think someone (it might have been S4L) said a team was potentially paying a fee for Fitzpatrick? I would be disappointed to see him released - he's been a decent player - but if a small fee was involved then I could live with that.

You would expect two or three new signings if that is another two out the door.

So with Tokely gone that'll likely be Boyd and Hainault as back-up right backs, should Kova be out, with Munro deputising as centre-half for whichever isnt playing? Assuming Boyd and Hainault become first-choice as widely expected.

Two specialist left-backs surprises me, thought he would have kept McPhee and Fitz as back-up as they can play elsewhere as well. Unless this Serbian lad can play RB too...

Also thought Adams had said the defence was sorted and he was only looking at the forward areas now!

I'm lost :-(

It wasn't me. Slateford_stag mentioned that on the drive home from the game last night but no idea where he heard it from.

I'm confused too. It's a first world problem I suppose...

Reports stating that Hibs are trying to sign Liam Craig today. :(

You'd guess it's a bit of a roundabout, Brittain > St Johnstone, Craig > Hibs. I don't see Brittain keen to move just yet or Brown willing to pay out the level of cash to force County's hand.

Likelihood you guys would:

a) - get a decent fee

b) - use it to try to sign Brittain? Given his performances last couple of games we'd likely want pretty big bucks though. Obviously "big bucks" are all relative, but I imagine more than you guys would want for Craig.

I don't think we'll let him go. The squad is too stretched as it is.

Plus you are right, if even if we sold Craig today, it wouldn't be enough to get Brittain from Adams.

Great to have Dummett back. He should be straight back into the starting line-up if he's fit, in my opinion. Everyone seems to be raving about Carey at left back but his defensive positioning is really poor and he looks knackered with 20 minutes to go in every game. I'd say he's only worth starting at left mid which would allow McGinn to play more centrally. Having said that, maybe Dummett has been resigned to play at centre back to allow Goodwin to move into midfield again?
