albundy
Fair enough. But I just don't see us either having or wanting to spend money in getting rid of a manager. From what I'm led to believe we hardly have a bean, so paying off a manager (lump sum or not) is unlikely I'd suggest. There are a few factors here:There may be relegation clause in the contractStevie might not fancy it or see it as taintedI would guess Stevie's remit would have been to stay up, in that regard he has failed .If Stevie remains, he must have the confidence to build a team to play attacking football and be challenging otherwise he will lose the support and his position will be unattainable IMO.

If Stevie remains, the lingering suspicion that he’ll persist with his hellish brand of fitba may turn the average fan away from renewing the ST and point firmly towards the more attractive pick-n-choose walk-up prices for next season.

DumbartonTheSons
Aitken will not be here next season. Presumably this is based on tangible information rather than assumptions or a hope that he isn't?I just don't see it being as easy as some seem to think for him to leave.
Ontovictory
Commiserations on the drop - unexpected, but that's fit'ba. All the best for next season.
Jan Vojáček
Aitken will not be here next season. Is that just a gut feeling, or is there more to it?

A little from column A, a little from column B. I think all parties would've been content for Stevie to go, regardless of the outcome today.
LiviLion
Sad to see Dumbarton down, always enjoy the trips through there. Hope you bounce straight back up, and I'm sure you'll have a good laugh at the Airdrie fans while you do.

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Imo, you've hit the nail on the head, flags and making noise is all I want to do, it was the minority what spoiled it for the majority Probably best to tell your wee bawbag mates to stop acting like arseholes on the Facebook group as well. Doing yourselves absolutely no favours there.

sons superhero
Froxy looked pissed off sitting on the bench. I think I saw him get up to warm up once right at the beginning of the game. Edited May 14, 2018 by sons superhero
pleslie99
So the yellow union coming out on FB and Twitter and showing their true colours now that they've been outed for their antics at the game. Nobody has issues with the drums, the flags, the noise. The issue comes with the hooligan behaviour and the silly threats/abuse directed at folk online. Robbie on here at least comes out and defends them in a civilised way. The rest of the wee clowns can get in the sea.

Hutton has been decent 2nd half of the season but I think we need more from him. Dick isn't good enough in my opinion but suppose league 1 might suit him.

If I'm following this right, we deserved to be relegated for charging some fans an extra £2? Bizarre thing to be hung up over months later. Much like the Alloa fans in attendance yesterday incidentally, whose chants oddly focussed on Dumbarton's capitulation rather than their own team's achievements.
